I like Santini clothing a lot. A pro supplier to teams. I have 2 pair of these shorts and like them. You can catch them at even better deals at times as well. I also have a pair of their Top CX (non gel) bibs.

C8 ground doesn't appear to be soldered... 1st and 2nd pins from the bottom appear to have something bridging them as well.

Usually arrows like that would mean an offboard connector, or maybe jumper stake pins?

WTF happened to DIY? For the $50-$130 or whatever they are quoting for building the bike, with the info available online, just do it yourself. You will probably do it much better than the disinterested LBS employee will, and save yourself enough to buy some shorts or whatever. Brent: You are riding 23s? Not sure what you weigh, but I would think 25s minimum (and mixing is no problem), and I would probably be looking at 28s. I really like the Conti GP4 Seasons 700x28s I have (~$100/pair including tubes shipped from Wiggle). Built on a GP3000 casing, so feel good, durable, much better than Gatorskins in my opinion in both feel and grip, particularly when wet out. Run less pressure than 23s, have better feel and just as fast.

Putting the 2N7000 in the right way seemed to help These comparators do work differently than one might expect, but it seems to be working fine now.

I ordered some of the above boards, have built one up with parts on hand, and everything seems to be working. I am trying to test the protection function currently, and have all inputs but 1 grounded. I am injecting offset into L+ input with a 9V battery, and can't get it to trip. Verified at the LM339 pins as +8.x Vdc, with +0.47 and -0.53V reference voltages. pin 6: -ref pin 7: 8V pin 8: 8V pin 9:+ref Am I misunderstanding this or not a good test scenario for this?

I had a few of these run by SeeedStudio... I think they turned out well. I even had 8 31DQ10s left over, and a couple of the pins. I'll need to get some part orders in, and don't have my GRLV nearly ready yet. I did have to flip two of the 10 ohm resistors on the GRLV to the bottom for these to fit, but I'm satisfied.

RIP Keith Emerson Saw ELP 4 times, including with the full orchestra they hired (until they ran out of money). First show of theirs I saw must have been after Trilogy came out, with Blue Oyster Cult opening. Emerson did one thing with the Hammond that sounded like a steam train starting up. He had it on its corner, was bouncing it up and down on the stage, and even using knives in the keyboard to hold notes down. Amazing show. The quad show for Welcome Back My Friends was amazing too. I could have seen Carl Palmer a couple of months ago in a smaller venue but didn't make it.
