Duggeh's preparing for his starring role in the next Mummy movie.
  2. I suggest that you send it back. If not, you'll always suspect that it is not 100%. The issue was created by HeadRoom and I'm sure that they'll do what it takes to resolve it to your satisfaction.
  3. You've got it Steve. To me, "analytical" is an adjective that means somewhat bad sound when talking about audio. If it's worse, it goes from "analytical" to "etched". "Neutral" just means it doesn't have obvious colorations. One of the best head amps I've heard is Ti's (amb) demo B22. It's also one of the prettiest, which makes it sound even better. It's obvious that Antonio and I are saying the same thing. We are just using different words.

Read about it here. It was pretty outlandish, but gave an interesting new twist on soaps. It sounds like True Blood is trying the same twist. The problem is that it's no longer new.

So is it basically an updated version of Dark Shadows?
  6. Now we know where RSA and Rudistor got the versions included in their manuals.
  7. You could even ask steveio if he'll give you an HC price of $2k. I find the B22s to which I've listened to be "neutral" and not analytical. I'd happily own one and I'm a tube guy.
  8. What "oh frack me"? You can't be too thin and you can't have too many tube testers. What make and model is this? I can't make out the writing on the manual. It looks like you have a minor restoration job in front of you.
  9. Congratulations Doug. I predict a large celebration next weekend.
  10. Or it's a JH Audio cupcake.
  11. No problem. Just work as a S/W or H/W engineer.
  12. A nice new booklet.
  13. Alison Brown Quartet Bela Fleck Tales From the Acoustic Planet Bela Fleck & Chick Corea The Enchantment
  14. I'm heartbroken. Obviously it's meant for Al.
  15. At least you know what to sell first.
  16. Too late. I already called dibs.
  17. M&K RealTime did both the "For Duke" and "Fatha" original direct disk LPs in the 70s. I was perusing their site in the lat 90s and noticed that they had done a gold CD with both of them and bought it. It's quite good. I'll bring it to DanJam and to any other east coast meets I make in the near future. I believe that your "Going Home" CD is from Eastwind. They are the same company that did the direct disk LP.
  18. Do you have any idea how it compares to the M&K RealTime CD release? This CD has both "For Duke" and Fatha Hines "Fatha". For a real treat, try to listen to the M&K RealTime lp release. It and LA4 "Going Home" are the crown jewels of my meager lp collection.

  20. Happy Birthday Tony!
  21. Sorry to hear about the "incident" but am glad to hear that things worked out. If anybody asks me for a wedding cake recommendation, I'll point them your way. Just so you know, it's "ganache" in English (and French).

    Meow!
  23. It's dead Jim.
  24. Let's see who I should believe. On one have I have Vicki's input. She's contributed a lot to both HF and HC and not once have I ever seen her do something even slightly shady. On the other hand we have the fellow who runs "Lootin Audio". This is the same fellow who wrote a scathing review of the HD800 including his most famous words, calling it "slowwwwww". Now there are things to not like about the HD800, but being slow isn't one of them. Then later, probably after seeing how well the HD800 was accepted by his target market, he decided that he really liked the HD800 and it would be perfect if only people bought his high $ cable. This is a really hard decision to decide which one of these people I trust. I'm going to have to think about it for awhile and get back to you when I decide.
  25. Happy Birthday, Jack! :prettyprincess:
