  1. I order from those guys quite a bit in fact. One excellent value they have are on these: MK132V-10K-1%-Non-Inductive 10K-Ohm 0.75Watt 1%-Electronic Surplus Inc.Offering obsolete IC's, discretes, motors, relays, switches, pots, and much, much more! Always looking for your excess inventory.
  2. I agree with Steve. The most un-ortho sounding ortho I've heard. I'm pretty confused by various listening impressions I've heard...
  3. I agree with Voltron. QC must be all over the map, or people have very different impressions of forward.
  4. Yeah, this rocks... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Pretty much rewired everything!
  6. Is tapatalk still the preferred way to read and post from a mobile device? (eh, didn't scroll up, nm)
  7. oh, and this: Top Poster: nikongod (437,755)
  8. http://www.head-case.org/ isn't working for me.
  9. (insert allusion to ceramic applications)
  10. I've used one of those that uses a laser to cure a vat of stuff.. milspec in fact, as it primary use was prototyping for aircraft. Pretty cool, and insanely accurate.
  11. my father has been trying to get rid of some sort of radioactive cobalt (I think that's right) for 25 years at his university. Maybe he can give it to KG? also, Kevin a certain package arrived. very nice stuff.
  12. or.. an optopus
  13. balanced TRS to balanced XLR, obviously
  14. looks good nate, and avoids perhaps the most hideous looking audio connector I've ever seen:
  15. I'm never sure what signal path means. Shunt resistors are just as important as series resistors, and for whatever reason people like to ignore this fact.
  16. I'm not sure, I used to have a price sheet though. Either Moerch model would be a very solid choice. Are you set on SPU compatibility? If so, the vintage Ortofon arms are worth considering, but out of your price range admittedly. I'm using a SPU mono with a AT 1005 mk2, which is a fantastic arm. That sucks about the 'Sticks being rare on the market. They're absolutely perfect for what I want (idler / broadcast tables), "short body" SPU support, etc. I have a custom table, so I could support a proper 16" broadcast arm (the 'Stick is really a 16" arm, but adapted for 12", I'm sure you know that).. in fact, there is a broadcast version of the AT 1005mk2, but they are very hard to find.
  17. How often do they hit the used market? That will probably be my next arm. What about Moerch as a cheaper alternative?
  18. How much do the Schick Sticks run?
  19. Pass or Klyne I'd say.
  20. Assam meatballs?

I'm good, but changing rooms is a PITA, but I can deal with that. I wasn't upset or anything, just wanted to let you know that it wasn't working

That's the link I used. Try this, just move the start date one day back and then hit "check availability". I didn't change anything else on the form.

Well, here's the deal. If you add a night on the website, it won't give you the rate. Here's the link I used: http://ohare.hyatt.com/hyatt/reservations/flow6/propSelectedHotelRates.jsp?xactionid=1264258065d&_requestid=130096 If you call Corporate, they won't do it either, they say everything is sold out (all days). The number I used is 1-800-492-8804. However, if you call the hotel, they will give you the rate, but the caveated (is that a word?) that I might have to switch rooms after the first night. So, I have a double the first night, and a King the second two nights
