  1. I am curious as well - what sort of voltage can it swing into what sort of load at what sort of distortion?
  2. I did! Interesting stuff. I will give them a spin tonite for ya!
  3. Built up a second frontend for a power amplifier I am working on. Biasing one channel as we speak!
  4. Hm, how way? -120dBV shouldn’t be hard to measure. -150dV, sure.
  5. What are 60Hz and harmonics down to with the stock design?
  6. That’s what she said.
  7. Can you minimize the noise by rotation where the lead out points away from anything sensitive?
  8. Where is the real Al and what did you do with his Unnecessarily Complex 300B?
  9. 0805 == 2012 in metric parlance. 2012 means 2.0 mm x 1.2mm. Convert and voila!
  10. Why? I can get less than -100dB line rejection (60Hz and higher harmonics) from a properly designed snubber, careful layout .. with a CRC supply. Now, it took some care.. but. I do have PCBs for sale motmotmotmot.
  11. Guess what I will be working on this week...
  12. So, the A-Maze-N was a bit of a fail. I left the pellets outside not really thinking about it and I think they absorbed water. They just wouldn’t stay smoking. Things turned out well enough despite no smoke flavor. Today, I did three different quick pickle variants and just got them in the fridge:
  13. Looks like the BF862 is finally seeing its demise. It was labeled EOL a while back and now the part hoarders are sucking them dry. There are a few left at Newark, so I ordered some. Good parts for MC phono-stage input, which was my use. You can also parallel them a get a good 2SK170 replacement - folks even made boards to stick four of them together.
  14. Put two pork shoulders in a Trader Joe’s Spiced Apple Cider brine. Going to start early in the morning. Will be using the mazed-shaped Amazin for longer smoke production. Will provide pics!
  15. I have been curious about their cans. Seems a bit spendy though.
  16. Typically soldier paste takes much more hot air to flow the second time around... or it feels like it does.
  17. Yeah. It would have user settable resistors, or I can add them before shipping them if you ask real nice
  18. Chris, interestingly, the drain and source of the Toshibas JFETs are interchangeable. I have exploited this to clean up some layouts. Just a fun fact, not useful here
  19. Probably 50 of each.@Kerry, can you generate the pick-and-place coordinate file, or e-mail me the Diptrace files? I will get some quotes.
  20. I would consider doing an assembled run of these, but we would need a decent amount of interest.
  21. Anyone have any 2SJ74GR they would be willing to trade? I can provide BL or V matched sets in exchange. Ideally, I could get around 50 of these. Also, for those that have secret transistor sources, I would like some more 2SJ313/2SK2014 if you see them around.
