Or just put a zip tie under and solder the top side of the board.

goldenreference low voltage power supply

Has anyone analyzed how much capacitance after the GRLV is too much? I would be a bit wary of putting it in a separate enclosure away from its load... -
Continuation of R2R DAC Discussion From Stax Thread
luvdunhill replied to Sechtdamon's topic in Home Source Components
Generally, is there enough “drive” in these “scientific” oscillators to input directly into consumer-grade HiFi? I also would need 10MHz for my Esoteric and would love to try one of these out, maybe you have an extra? -
One just doesn’t “ignore” Team 5-pin.

A another question. Does anyone know of an easy way to bend thin gauge mu-metal? To be effective, does it need to continuously surround, be grounded or any other special layout? I am looking to fashion a case divider to separate the PSU from input section of a phono preamp.

Yeah, same rails for both. I am definitely willing to push it harder than 16v - com’on this is HC!

The bits to run the switch are much more low power than the original design. If we can find a small transformer and suitable relay, the rest is easy. Check out Pulse for some options as well as Zettler (which would probably be sold via Allied). Myrra and Block are two other vendors off the top of my head.

I think it’s just a matter of what format would be useful for people. I could see having a small standby transformer board and a separate driver switch / relay combination board. We could also do it all in one. If we can decide on what the physical dimensions would be and a few people are interested, I will draw up the boards.

How closely to an opamp’s stated “absolute maximum” voltage ratings would you guys run? The devices in question are OPA211 and LMH6321 are behind a regulated supply. They are rated to 36v so I was thinking of running within 10% of that. With easy to find resistor values in my regulator, that is +/- 17.7v, but I would try and find something a bit lower to hit the 10% goal. Power dissipation isn’t an issue here, just voltage rails. What say the veteran designers of HC?

@swt61 might I recommend Austin?

There are also drop in replacement for the Omron relays by Panasonic. I think my board will take JTN1S-PA-F-DC12V or the Omron (now EOLed?) G8P-1C4P DC12

Chris, if I can find it - I have a nice companion board to the e24 that mounts a power relay in the exact same PCB mounting pattern (edit: as the Crysom SSR that amb was suggesting. I made this board as that configuration was a hum generator like you wouldn’t believe). I have one running in an amp and need two more. If I have extras, it’s yours. Otherwise we can run some more. I have just finished a new circuit that that I would like to turn into a e24 replacement when I get time. It is the fixed version of this: https://www.head-case.org/forums/uploads/monthly_2017_02/58b4f1a297001_ScreenShot2017-02-27at9_40_03PM.png.c7f8f3b1a31f403b127566da27645324.png It is running in my TT PSU now and while I have an extra board, it probably needs a more generic layout that looses the micro controller inputs. It is small enough that it might fit on the back of a o24-like transformer board, providing an all in one.

Heh, if you do drop by, I still could use a lesson is routing flush the hardwood veneers on the corner horns... well that and a router. I have been wanting to start building the grills, but can’t do that until things are nice and flush around the openings.

Thanks JP. I ordered another chair from the same vendor, in “upgraded” leather. I think it could have been packed a bit better, you can see on the front corner of the seat where it was compressed in shipping. I think it will even out, but still. The leather is decent, I expect the cheaper option wouldn’t be passable. Will be a good office chair for the home-office-bedroom.

Funny, I just ordered two (of the MC that is) [emoji4] Not that you will be able to keep them around, but they definitely have a nice caramel flavor when aged a bit. Ah, you mean the actual panatelas. You should compare with the Montecarlos, I can send you some next time I hit the Post Office:

Jp, did you end up trying one of these?
