  1. I did skimp on the $200 Furutech outlet covers... I upgraded to the $0.40 vinyl over the $0.20 plastic covers instead.
  2. I thought my numbering scheme was infallible! Well, in my head at least it is. After all these years I just don't understand why people don't build LED-based CCSes on a breadboard, use a pot to dial in the current and buy the resistor to match the LED. If I had to count the posts of people looking for specific LEDs...... /rant off (not really, still on. Don't be that guy!)
  3. Upgraded outlets to let the basses through. At least the plugs stay plugged in now There needs to be Decora-style versions, seriously so they can match my other outlets. Srsly.
  4. Decca on DG? A bit confused about that, but...
  5. I think the Rega P3 (or the newer P3-24) on the used market is one of the better values in Audio.
  6. I added some LEDs to my phono stage. I used LM317 in the spirit of the original Pass Xono. Wanted something subtle and channeled Nate a bit on hatred of bright blue LEDs
  7. It's tough even with an air station to get the heat pad optimally soldered
  8. It seems to sound better. That is all there is to follow
  9. Fonseca
  10. Anyone know where I can get an extra 50VA toroid mounting dish? Apparently at Mouser - Hammond sells them.
  11. Damn, can you still use a router? Still need some cleaning up on the corner speakers. Oh wait; too soon? Seriously, that sucks. If I am picturing what happened, would it be safe to assume even SawStop wouldn't have helped?
  12. Work porn second monitor?
  13. Getting there. Getting these things mounted in he corners is a heck of a trigonometry problem. I have three more to do and need a new strategy.
  14. Siglio IV
  15. Seems reasonable. Are you wanting to run the secondaries in parallel?
  16. I think you will need to measure a few different things, not just Idss. However, my experience is the curve is immediately telling. So perhaps take three measurements (-.2V, 0V, .2V) and compare to the variance I posted above. My curves show Idss of 6.25mA to 11mA which is about what you would expect for BL grade.
  17. Here's the spread I got on 100 devices. Granted this batch has been picked over a bit, but usually the p- devices show way more variation.
  18. Well, that isn't entirely fair. I could use some help on fabric choice.
  19. Well, ordered. Also, Silver Papier is an "in stock" color and cheaper. I can't wait to get them and hopefully it won't be too tricky to get them installed. I have some electrical work to do in the room and reconfiguring the closet. Then I want to do some recessed lighting (doesn't look too hard to DIY, mostly need to map out where the joists are above) then will look at the ceiling treatments. That's my end year goal for the room.
  20. Nelson Pass has tried it.
  21. I don't have any other decent spots to put it. My goal is to literally break every acoustic rule of thumb as possible in one room. Yeah, that's the ticket.
  22. @swt61 also the Silver Papier isn't a solid color like the rest and has more texture and some whiter streaks in it. It's more obvious in the last picture.
