I just read this on the seller's audiogon page. "The phone is extremely rare. Only 250 headphones were produced and 80% of them had been exported to German." 20% left in the States means that there are 50 left, and IIRC Todd sold a few PS-1s on his website and was the only person who had access and could sell them. Does this mean that this "waadragon" guy has like 30 of these "straight from John Grado's personal collection" PS-1s lying around, waiting to be sold?

I've used the Pico with a y-splitter and it works with my ATH-A950LTD + ATH-W1000, although the audible volume differences are quite frustrating. I do not reccomend long listening hours using a splitter.

Hey guys, everything looks nice so far, especially Steve's wood/metal hybrid case. I was wondering if it is wise to build the preamp (some parts of it) before I get a case? Or is that a very bad idea?

I'm working on it, still don't have a vinyl rig yet. A Pro-ject Debut or something else like a Music Hall MMF 2.2 might work for me, I'm not sure/not there yet.

oh yea, I kind of forgot.. Thank you for your suggestion. I'm talking with a local DIYer and he might be able to reccomend me some local stores with enclosures that could work. Building a stereo phono preamp requires precisely matched parts so I should be fine with the kit you're putting together right?
