  1. Although it's good for day to day document sharing, if it's sensitive I wouldn't risk it. That and google probably wouldn't make any guarantees if your data was lost or leaked
  2. well what are you waiting for! with the weak US dollar, 1 million pounds is HUGE
  3. based on the above description the opamps and buffers are socketed, so rolling should be simple the suggested OPA2134/134 would warm the sound up nicely and are easy as hell to do. the cap/pot replacement is a little trickier.
  4. You may just need a drop of Peter Belt's Special One Drop Liquid! But before you part with your hard earned cash have a look at these Free sound improving techniques. It may just fix your problem... </snakeoiloff>
  5. Replaced the unmatched, uncomplimentary BD139/MJE253 output transistors with matched and complementary 2SA1930/2SC5171 DC offset never goes above 5mV even at the highest point on the volume pot. Sound is a lot smoother and resolving, doesn't have the treble sizzle that it did previously. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, but it doesn't seem to have lost any detail, just a lot smoother sounding. with 4.7ohm resistors and biased to 25mA the heat is very reasonable too. all good for now =) thanks for everything Nate!
  6. The Australian distributor is kind of funny. On one hand the SR-60 to the SR-325 are extortion compared to the USA pricing, but the RS-2, RS-1 and GS-1000 are very competitively priced, if not lower than US pricing. Alessandro are much more accessible here.
  7. haha that is hilarious! if only they'd do that with Grados in Australia!

oh darn, knew i should have snapped them up when you dropped the price and included free international shipping =\ atm the phones on my hitlist are some sigma/pro, sr-lambda (already have the lambda pro) and maybe the ESP-950.

IC are you still selling your lambdas? willing to hook a brother up with a sweet deal?

yay! \o/ you wouldn't also happen to have Koss ESP-950 or the SR-Lambda (non pro) for sale too would you?

    Way to go Head-Fi

I haven't seen ads in ages. Admuncher is the best!
  15. to cure channel imbalance may be one reason. I'm glad my Stax SRM-1/MK2 has dual volume control. Since I did a driver transplant on my Lambda Pros there has been imbalance, so this has been an absolute life saver. However that is 2 controls in a single pot, that can adjust the channels separately if desired, otherwise if when you turn it it will adjust both automatically. I admit on stepped attenuators it's probably less useful for fine tuning and probably annoying as hell.
  16. HAHAHA the only thing that came to my mind was a pepper mill, but they seem to use a lighter wood for that did it come off the lathe looking that shiny? or did you put a coat of something on it
