Jeez sorry for all that Jacob. I hope you're feeling better soon I just got back from Tai Chi class. Now I'm sitting outside sipping coffee waiting for the 8:00PM showing of Skyfall.

Just watched season 1 so far... I've got season 2 from iTunes, but I haven't had a chance to watch. I'm thinking of just starting with season 1 again and going straight through everything out there now. Season 1 was definitely impressive.

I think you'll like it. I've always loved the HD 600/M3 combo... balanced even more so.

Went to a place in Raleigh called Pullen Park. Took my daughter on the little boat ride and carousel there. Then a picnic lunch with the family. A good day. I too, love being a dad and love the time I have with my daughter.

Went to the Amanda Palmer concert last Friday night. Great show. Some tough moments. Some tough songs. Best concert I've been to in a long time. See her if you can, she's on fire.

Zion is my favorite national park so far. At least it's the most spiritual place for me. Didn't make it all the way up Angel's Landing, but damnit I will someday! The Grand Canyon is amazing and I'd love to do a river float trip through it someday. Bryce canyon is beautiful and on a trip out west with my I laws in 2008 we hiked a lot of random slot canyons in the area around Zion. I'd like to get to every US park during my life. Mesa Verde was fascinating albeit harrowing for someone afraid of heights.

Reading two things: The Ethical Slut (about living a life in open relationships) and the Happy Isles of Oceania, by Paul Theroux. The latter is a great piece of travel writing and self discovery/reflection.

Great pics of Zion Mike... that's my favorite national park so far. We went in 2008 and hiked a lot of the trails there. I didn't get all the way up Angel's Landing due to my fear of heights... I took one look at the knife edge and turned right around. Next time I'm there, I will press onward. Glad you had a great time!
