Damn, son, those are both beautiful, the speakers and the stands. I'm fully a believe in speaker stands, but not sure where I stand, in the 'decouple' camp, where the speakers are intended to be decoupled from the floor so that floor-borne vibrations don't transmit back to the speaker through conduction, or the other camp, where you start with the assumption the floor is the most inert thing, and ...couple? Whatever the opposite of decouple is...the speakers to the floor. It sounds like from what you say that the speaker stands are inert enough that you coupled your speakers to the stands. Honestly, I would have them as forward on the stands as possible. You know, edge effect. It's less noticeable near the bass driver, so you may be fine, but I always want my drivers to be the most forward thing in the vicinity.

Oh, interesting, hadn't of that latter. Thought of ham radio, but that would be missing a 'M' or at least a 'k'. Might it be the lowest frequency for a carrier frequency for voice quality? Maybe this is his favourite frequency region to cut or boost? Not sure what any of those have to do with Hz, Mikey, but thanks for the larph.

I was just listening to that the other day. I have no context as to why I was listening to it, other than a friend strongly recommended it. I enjoyed it well enough, but if there's a story, I wouldn't mind hearing it. Re: shoegaze -- no real surprises towards the top of that list, if I had to predict it based on safe predictions, but I have my own tastes, and Just for a Day ranks head and shoulders above the rest. My Bloody Valentine are on another planet, almost a genre unto themselves, but Just for a Day is such a perfect slab of fuzzed out melodic melancholy happiness that I can actually feel my blood pressure dropping, from before I start listening to it to after it's finished. Chrome is probably my most listened to album across the whole thing, but with rockers like "Crank" and "Show Me Mary", I hardly consider it "just" shoegaze. But like all my favourite bands, Catherine Wheel never felt like they needed to stay within their chosen genre, so I love them all the more for it. Nice to see some lesser known acts like Xinlisupreme and lovesliescrushing. And of course Curve are great. Goddamn, I love Curve. I may have to go back and listen to all my Curve.

Yeah, I'd agree with their interpretation of the ending, absolutely. But I still didn't find it as cathartic or horrific as the ones I ended up preferring.

Yeah, I'm confounded, too. Everything about what she did stinks. Why did she lie about what she was going to do, if it was legal, or even her job? When my sister was in Sofia, she had to send my Bobby to me in America, because the stray cat population was so huge, most people felt the same way as she did -- that they were nothing but a problem. But in America? In Texas? I wouldn't be surprised if she lost her job elsewhere from doing the same thing. WTF is wrong with people? I would contact the police -- they're probably "reacting" because she's the one who called them (...first), if you can calmly and clearly indicate to them your side of the story, I think they wouldn't be so quick to give you a hard time, and maybe even go back to her about the wrong she did in this matter.

One nice thing about mixlr -- once you start a showreel, it'll load until it caches the whole thing, so even if you lose internet later, you can still play that entire showreel. I've taken to "cache-ing" several shows (I'm up to 6 or 7) and cycling through them for the entire week. At least, on my desktop -- don't know how it works on the phone.

I probably liked that first episode the least -- I just didn't "get" the ending, and I don't think they did neither. I think they just wrote something, I was happy enough with the premise and most of the story arc, they just didn't know how to conclude it. I think they knew that, too, and that's fine. They certainly more than made up for it with all the other episodes, from "Playtest" on. "San Junipero" was by far the most affecting. But I have to admit, "Hated in the Nation" had me on the edge of my seat. So...yeah...all of them.
