  1. I love experimental music (are you familiar with James Dashow? <3 ___ <3 ), would be interested in hearing samples and/or purchasing recordings legitimately, as I doubt I'll be able to make it out in time, but will try to plan on it next year if it is an annual event.
  2. ¯\_(ﹹﹹ)_/¯
  3. Saw that pic from Knucks in his thread with the three guys and the laser light show, thought it was Muse, so did a Google image search. Turns out it was Tool. "Fuck me, they're still together?!?!" So now watching a Tool (Full Concert) on YouTube. Maybe if they quit touring, they'd get around to the next studio album. Maybe not, though. They open with a cover. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

  5. So do I want to get into 3D printing for $619?
  6. Sounds like you've found your neighborhood.
  7. Arjen Schat/Klaus Schulze&Pete Namlook/Atrium Carceri mix -- blissing out on the beatless and on the old school trancey
  8. Goddamn, that mustard dollop looks delicious.
  9. Ah, I stand corrected. That does sound more humid than I was thinking. Still not sure how much it'd affect a BHSE if you kept it covered most of the time, if you're not keeping it outside. A/C naturally takes a lot of moisture out of the air.
  10. Hoping for the best
  11. "pork" or "turkey" or beef
  12. If you're familiar with the Sorry! theme, I did this to that, except without the video:
  13. If I'm understanding you correctly, I'm not sure humidity under a small (relative to the rest of the apartment) dust cover would amount to much. It's not like the humidity will get trapped in there by the humidity equivalent of a Maxwell's Demon or anything -- as much humidity departs as enters if it's not hermetically sealed, and if you had it on recently when you put the cover on, it'll probably be less humid in the vicinity of the amp than elsewhere in the apartment. Heck, it was probably exposed to more humidity in Justin's workshop in swampy ol' Virginia while it was being built than at your place. I thought you all had dry heat? And by you all, I mean West of the Mississippi (and East of the ...whatever mountains that stop the humidity rolling off of the Pacific -- I know it doesn't take much, my sister used to work East of the bay, and it was basically desert there).
  14. Haelos, Full Circle -- seems familiar, and yet I'm digging it, RIYL The XX, Phantogram, Florence and the Machine, on the trip-hoppy side, groovy as...
  15. I still think I prefer the subtle pinstripes of the Aqua Terra Chronograph GMT. I wonder how ungainly it is at 38.5mm? That actually sounds like an appealing size. And yeah, apology accepted, I'm not sure you got that I was displaying my ignorance and teasingly going off on a tangent at the same time. Literally.
  16. I still prefer the chocolate, but it seems if I were interested the chocolate/Sedna gold with the additional nerdy bragging rights and extra protection against magnetism, I have many choices.
  17. Found the commercial I saw, it was an older ad, pre-chocolate -- I blame Omega -- they even have a watch with "> 15'000 Gauss" right in the name, but many of their watches can handle that much:
  18. Nerdy bragging rights, largely.
  19. Happy birthday, Al! (party favour noise)
  20. Maybe in real life, but it has been an extremely rare occurrence between you and I, so: whatevs, I'll bow out, don't really care enough to argue with you. I'm happy for you, that you know so much about watches.
  21. Okay, I didn't pursue what METAS certified meant when I read the article, but the pictures are literally different. Here's the one from your article, so all you need to do is scroll up, it's set to 10:08, which is within two minutes of 10:10, mine is set to 1:22 something? WTH, no watch advertiser sets it to that time (1:22). And mine is lying on the winder knob, whereas yours has the winder knob up in the air -- yours is obviously a superior picture of the watch, but it is not literally the same. Also, mine has lines of some sort -- it is literally very similar, yet different: Anyway...to my point: I will allow that the Planet Ocean may have been the watch advertised, but from my admittedly cursory google, all the "15,000 gauss" adspeak seemed to be describing the Seamaster Aqua Terra, and I will concede that it may have been describing the Seamaster Planet Ocean, thanks to your helpful input. I have yet to find the commercial. I was in a room where the television was on --- the soundtrack -- a very cool world/techno something with female voices -- caught my attention and made me look up and I caught the tail end (fnar fnar) of the commercial without catching the name of the watch. The two most memorable things were the looks of the thing -- smashing, dapper, stonkin', etc. -- and the ">15,000 Gauss" part, which I recognize from other ads now that I've searched them out. tl;dr: Cheers.
  22. Someone needs to add the same picture of Hillary for the before and after shot. http://io9.gizmodo.com/5816396/the-story-of-dune-recreated-with-gummi-worms/
