  1. Congratulations!
  2. Garfunkel & Oates -- this show is fantastic
  3. home-cooked green curry chicken with bamboo and water chestnuts
  4. You should ha' left it, it would've looked like you were rubbing it in. Which you were, just not that much.
  5. And they say burn-in isn't real!
  6. I liked episode 2 even more than the pilot. So why is the comic book called iZombie? Is there an apple product involved? I guess my point was, it should be called "I, Zombie". Or "Liv, the twenty-something Undead Girl". Or "How to be a Zombie in a post-zombie-apocalypse world and survive".
  7. Garfunkel & Oates (on Netflix streaming)
  8. On both days, it was the day after I purchased a Musician's Friend Stupid Deal of the Day -- coincidence? Anyone else shop at Musician's Friend?
  9. Lustmord, The Word as Power -- damn. Only gotten as far as "Babel", but...damn. This is eye-wateringly beautiful. (on Spotify...EDIT: no, just switched to Bandcamp to see if it sounds any different...I think it does, ackshully...a smidge better on Bandcamp.)
  10. The Ocean, Fluxion, on Spotify -- a, because it just came out, and b, because I need some cathartic music, will probably resume with Cryo Chamber releases immediately after.
  11. Yup, one of the transactions said, "Google* Viacom". I just sent Google a scathing email:
  12. Woke up to a bunch of spurious international charges on my credit card via Google. I'm on the phone now with Capital One and Google. Aside: the Capital One representative is on hold with me, listening to the Google wait music. Which isn't as bad as Capital One's wait music, but still...some payback. EDIT: Now I feel bad -- the Capital One rep was really nice, the person at Google wallet spent way too much time talking, and not enough time finding anything -- I'm not even sure I was talking to the right person. They couldn't find any transactions! How is that possible? I just got this card, and I'm already closing it.
  13. It certainly doesn't suck to be Colin or Dan.
  14. Atrium Carceri, The Untold
  15. Only if they play together at the same time...
  16. At least they got the proportions right.
  17. I told them that was the worst music I ever heard in my life.
  18. I have a friend who wanted me to send him nothing but Mauna Loa honey roasted macadamia nuts while I was there. That was his religion.
  19. He's gone full immersive! Are you going to listen to the Laurie Anderson song as well? (Kidding.) Me: Just started and finished Practical Demonkeeping that my sister lent me before I have to return it soon. I think she accidentally got a first edition of his first novel! (The back cover says he's working on his second novel and that the movie rights have been optioned for Disney. Damn, that's something I'd like to see.) EDIT: ...and she just let me keep it. W00t!
  20. Inconceivably arduous Easter egg in Archer: http://imgur.com/gallery/TmNFU http://www.engadget.com/2015/03/21/massive-archer-easter-egg/
  21. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=916948401682403 https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10203689527945341&pnref=story
  22. That dry aged roast looks perfect.
  23. I was dumbfounded, but Steve spake for me.
  24. "...a girl my size..." (squints)
  25. I don't blame them at all for blocking most of the sites that they do, but music-streaming actually helps me block out my neighbors in cubie-land, so I consider it a plus.
