Just finished: Pineapple Thief, 10 Stories Down -- how often is it that a band's fourth album is their best? Just started: Muse, Black Holes & Revelations -- how often is it that a band's fourth album is their best? Alright, yes, Zoso, Vol 4, Dog & Butterfly, Agents of Fortune, Spirit of Eden, A Night at the Opera...alright, already, it's fairly often, I get it.

Tried to listen to Storm Corrosion in the car...it's not a car album. Nope. Not at all. Advanced Electronics Vols. 1 & 2 (yup, got my iPods working in the car). The Clarion OEM upgrade stereo in the Suzuki was better than the Bose OEM upgrade stereo in the Mazda3.

Everything better be stapled, nailed, screwed down or otherwise grommeted, otherwise it will be like one of those old vibrating magnetic/weighted football games.

We're talking market, not personal experience. The only question is whether they will evolve to have been the early adopters, or stagnate as a niche market.

"not enough of them"? Dude, there are whole magazines like maximum PC whose entire existence is based on guys like that. There's also what I'll call the Bose set -- people who want something better just because they can afford it, without doing the research. It's the same thing that makes HDTracks successful selling 24-bit, 44.1 kHz "high res" files.
