For me -- it's not so much that it's inconvenient, as I just don't know yet until I've heard it for myself (the difference between DSD files played straight vs. converted). I should add -- I've always liked the performance of Sony headphone jacks on the MDR-7506/-V6. So I'm sure it'll sound good at least on the MDR-7506/-V6. I keep wanting to say, "...on Sony headphones", but I keep forgetting to try the CD3000s on anything, so if I get this, I'll definitely try that combination as well. But I'm sure some of it is spent on branding and style as well.

Star Trek: Axanar This looks awesome, and I'm not even a trekkie (although I will admit to being a fan). Just some fine storytelling with some fine casting. (Just in case you missed it over in Ric's Trailers thread.) And the idea to make the intro video entirely a prequel is choice.

I don't know if I'd ever attempt anything that claimed "inspired by ... LS3/5a" in anything other than the nearfield, even if it does have a port on the back (and coaxial drivers).

Thanks. Wouldn't that be a problem (in as much as it would be a problem) with every such vacuum sealer, or are some of them better about dealing with accidentally-sucked-up liquid? I see that some of the more expensive models have a moist/dry setting, is that what that's for? Never mind, I'll do some research (wanders off to gtfm)...

Maryland Deathfest -- I only know a couple of th...HOLY SHIT, Neurosis? Napalm Death? (I didn't realize they were still active, but apparently they never really stopped...perhaps I just lost interest after Mick Harris left.) I might have to go to...er...no way I can go to all four days (I'd get moshed to death)...I just hope some of the bands that I'm interested in seeing (Arcturus(!!!), Obituary, Melt Banana, Napalm Death, Neurosis) are playing on the same days...any others in that list that others can recommend? Sometimes the names all begin to look the same to me. (Although "Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation " is pretty epic and "Chainsaw to the Face" is pretty fantastic.)

Or you could just change to Samsung...

So if one were to use the same driver (or drivers with the same parameters) and same crossovers, but oval-shaped enclosures ("baffle-less") with the same volumes, that might work better?

I got to hear this today -- I must say, beautiful sounding machine through the ... what was that, one of the VVT Nighthawks? Also: Aaron was right, it was the Pedaltrain Volto I was talking about, not the MXR DC Brick.
