I could buy a Rhodes or something with the money, or down payment on a new car. Back to the topic -- I had a pair of HP-2s that I was going to send in to him -- mostly because of a channel imbalance. So there are perfectly legitimate reasons to want them refurbished. But I lost them.

I been looking, believe me. Haven't opened my bottle of Blue Eyed Boy yet.

I don't get NS10s -- I kind of get the impression that mixers and masterers actually take them seriously. I almost mentioned them with the Avantones, but in the end decided not to as per above confusion.

Actually, I think they're being used as two different preferences/flavors. Genelecs and ATCs are both considered upper tier, even (especially?) by those in the industry. The go-tos for "real world" are the infamous Avantones.

I suspect he listens to them one at a time, rather than simultaneously.

Blurred City Lights, Anamorphic -- another Dean Garcia project, which I dig more'n the others for some reason, he seems to have gotten a little less heavy-handed with the reverb, so it ends up sounding rockier Soon to be followed by Moon Safari's Blodljud

I'll have to watch that later, I still remember that moment -- I was watching it live (on television, but you know what I mean). I can't watch more than one episode at a time. It's...just...harrowing... Just for another example, part way through season 2, all that had to happen was for anyone from the Larsen family to show up on screen, and my eyes would start to well up like Pavlov's dogs would start salivating at a bell. And so few people die! They were investigating one murder -- one! -- not just for season one, but for seasons one AND two. And I still feel completely emotionally wrought. Agreed as to the writers -- they are the true stars of the show. They way they molded that concept into Holder's vernacular was just superb. But the direction and the delivery is superb.
