  1. My sister got the Ford Fiesta -- which is the Mazda3's biggest competition in the same way as the Fusion is to the Mazda6. Good call!
  2. Question for the Windows 7 HTPC users: My OEM of Cyberlink PowerDVD 10 with Blu-Ray and 3D just stopped working. Should I just go ahead and buy it (14, presumably)? I'm afraid that they're one of those "perpetually pay for upgrades" nickel-and-dime mickey-mouse bullshit software that I hate. Anything better out there? VLC? What do you use in your Windows 7 HTPC to play Blu-Rays? I do use SlySoft's AnyDVD HD for delayed viewing of rentals, but I still use Cyberlink PowerDVD to play back the video files -- if I should switch video players to something that works better with subtitles (the way I do it, I lose the subtitles during the Dothrakian sequences), please recommend me something better in that regard, too.

  5. "Downloading"?
  6. Verbatim.
  7. Happy birthday! (party favour noise)
  8. Do I sound like I'm complaining? I'm only mentioning it if Jeff wants a change of pace (I've only ever seen him drive black cars). No, seriously, I've never owned a black car, and none of my choices for color for the Mazda3 that I have my eye on ... none of them are black (dolphin blue, blurple, dried blood red, and I think there was even a full-on purple once).
  9. Lollers, I recommended a XV Crosstrek to him, and he changed it to WRX STI. I can't really argue with that. Although he didn't bring up the "seems like overkill to drive to the train station" comment at the time...I did. Except I said, "seems like overkill for the entire DC area". Oh, and Jeff, the car I was trying to think of was the Outback Sport -- the XV Crosstrek is basically just the Outback Sport hopped up with a lift kit. Don't think it comes in a WRX STI, though. Oh, and I'll second the Cayenne -- fucking any Cayenne, looks hot even before I know what it is. Only comes in black in the DC area, though. (I've only ever seen it in black.)
  10. This. I mean, sympathies, but this.
  11. Sweet, I'm going to catch the whole show today.
  12. You just don't like boobies.
  13. Just found out that PRS made another baritone, and in purple no less: ...but no Bigsby option. I mentioned that to them on Facebook, and they said they could do it, and to contact their Tech Center, but their tech center couldn't do it. ("Unfortunately we could not install one as the bridge will not work for one and the neck angle is to low for the bridge that will.") Oh, well, there's still the Gretsch.
  14. Oh, okay, I don't consider 9 feet "smaller" -- I was thinking 6 feet.

  16. Whoa, throwback Thursday, indeed! Hey, remember when people thought it was a platypus?
  17. "Smaller"? Sent from mah phone-blet via Tapatalk
  18. A lot of Max Richter today. His piece, "Mercy", was one of the most beautiful pieces of music from the concert the other night, so thought I'd check him out further -- he does a lot of soundtrack work. A looot of soundtrack work.
  19. Was someone asking about a curved monitor? Is 65" too big? I'm thinking, "yes".
  20. He always writes such happy little ditties. (whistles)
  21. I'm not sure why they keep me around, neither.
  22. I'm sure there will be plenty of chances to buy one even before then.
  23. News to me as well. I like what little I've heard of Ayre. Fuck, now I wish I got one.
  24. So I sat to stage left, could see her perfectly As to the pianist...well, I could see his face. Music was wonderful as always, a nice mix of 20th and 21st century more experimental composers and older more traditional fare such as Mozart and Schubert. Sent from mah phone-blet via Tapatalk
  25. Yeah, that's been on my list for a while. My friend Tivo'd it, when I mentioned I wanted to see it, he said he'd save it for me, he wanted to watch it again.
