  1. Regina Spektor was wonderful. She played every song I wanted her to, and I was surprised how much I wanted to hear "Ballad of a Politician" -- I actually know more words to that song than to any other. I actually breathed a sigh of relief after that song -- the rest of the concert was just gravy, but was no less enjoyable for it. Also: Random Audience Member #1: "I love you!" Random Audience Member #2 from clear across the other side of the auditorium: "I love you more!" Regina: "I love you, Baltimore!" Everyone, together: (groan) Also: Random Audience Member #3: (something, incomprehensible) Regina: "What?" Seriously, she asked the random shouting audience member to repeat themselves.
  2. They play tomorrow. No way I'm going to be able to make it.
  3. Is it wrong that I want to put the head of Vinyl Pop Catwoman on Big Prominent Booty Catwoman? I have to admit, this was a question in my mind as well. I mean other than introducing a small taste of cotton, which can't be too bad, what's the problem? Or perhaps it was the water, and not the towel.
  4. I am interest.
  5. Agreed, I doubt it had anything to do with being a mathematician. You're safe. That said, it's always sad to hear about those things.
  6. I know you're on Facebook, but are you on Spotify? I skipped that one today, went straight to King of Limbs, and then just let it go from there. It's almost like you're filling in for me. Was listening to The Gathering in the car.
  7. I haven't heard it (the DL3), but from what I've heard of the HRT Music Streamer II+, that's what I'm getting. One of my probable solutions to my portable speaker problem is the Pro (which does balanced) and a pair of small studio monitors (which oftentimes only have balanced inputs).
  8. Except they don't have magnum in the non-lubricated.
  9. (squints)
  10. We can tell.
  11. It's true, I've tried it, I couldn't tell the difference. The fish was a nice touch.
  12. That looks like it just might be enough for you.
  13. Do you have an iPod classic? I wouldn't mind knowing what the interface was like...
  14. No, do not resist, it is good stuff. I have no need for the mouthpiece, but I kind of want the velvet-lined box. Also, completist heaven!
  15. I'll have to check my Miles Davis collection -- I think I bought all of those individually, and paid more for it than that.
  16. Happy Birthday, Wayne! (party favor noise)
  17. I thought that was one of the problems with recent iPhones, not the cases -- does it even plug in without a case?
  18. Do they still rip off all their ideas from other companies? That's my issue with them. Bose is just over-priced, but at least they innovated.
  19. Not a lot to see here, move along.

  20. Unholy Carp, Veronica Mars for less than $10 per season? I'm there. Also, probably Sarah Connor Chronicles.
  21. I'd probably buy Bose before I bought Behringer.
  22. Hey, Tyll, just curious, have you ever heard the Focal XS Book? So yeah, I'm totally revisiting this whole idea, especially due to the Cube's limitations. There's basically no easy way to introduce a sub, plus subs are heavy. So I'd prefer a pair of speakers that have a larger range than the Cube has -- in the near field -- preferably something comparable to the Quad 12L's, since that's a limitation I'm familiar with, and I know I'm alright with. I'll be adding a table to the first post, might have to turn it into a spread sheet.
  23. Did you buy a counterfeit?
  24. I know the old ones needed a screen for configuration and DVD-A's, at the very least.
  25. I've been on a Devin Townsend kick since the show. He's so awesome. Also: I didn't realize Ghost was even more ambient and laid back than Ki, wowzers!
