Basically, you're arguing that the very reasonable return policy should be removed because they know some people are selfish assholes. I think asking people not to be selfish assholes is a reasonable thing to attempt to do.

I'd do a separate network for the NAS. It depends on how many systems will be connected to it as to whether you need another switch or if you can just direct attach it. I'd be glad to talk to you about options if you'd like.

Yes, you can daisy chain with a duet on the end. And every so often, the duet will lose it's mind and start outputing horrible noises.

sell g4 12", buy mini. The g4 12" also has really slow wireless.
