ZepSaph's musings on meet impressoins of various headphones, the HD800 and Jap/Pop
Fine, but if you are going to make definitive sounding posts about cans at least compare them in the same system, and over a reasonable time period. This isn't Head-Fi.

I wouldn't say you've reached the pinnacle of amplifier goodness. Plus I agree with Nates comments, especially since you give the RS-1 a fail but the MS-Pro an epic fail. WTF?- Post the last thing you bought!

Refurbished Apple TV- Mac Mini or Studio Hybrid?
Well I just bought a refurb ATV. It looks like it will work with the patchstick hacks. Significantly fewer bucks compared to the mini or studio hybrid. Dan's The Man- Mac Mini or Studio Hybrid?
^^^ Good idea ... Be right back.- Mac Mini or Studio Hybrid?
Well there are more and more rumblings all around about not using University equipment (computers) for non-University functions (music listening). So I plan to head off the whole issue by setting up another computer (personally purchased) to serve the music to my work rig (output to Apogee Mini-DAC). The question for you is should I buy a Mac Mini or a Dell Studio Hybrid? and more importantly, why? The unit needs to be small, OS is irrelevant, I'll use itunes on the Mini or J. River Media Center on the Studio, the library will be on an external drive (most likely directly connected), I have my library in both FLAC and ALAC, it will be for playback only, it doesn't have to do anything else. Right now I am undecided as each has its benefits and price is roughly the same for comparable models. I think I have a pretty good handle on the strengths and weaknesses of each, but I'm sure I'm missing some.- AKG K 702 & Headamp GS-X / Beta-22 / Big Boxen
I don't know about the K 702 but the K 701 benefits from a dual entry recable as well as moar power. The GSX/recabled K 701 make a good combo. Not as nice a midrange compared to the K340 but better treble clarity and bass control (both balanced).- What are you listening to Part Two

North Mississippi Allstars - Hernando Bat for Lashes - Fur and Gold- There's something wrong in Colorado...
