I think once you try the Nav app, the maps app and a few other stock items you'll likely find the X (and most recent Android phones) to be much more than a FOTM.

Woke up finally feeling a bit better after having been sick for the past week with a nasty cold and sore throat. Only problem is that now the wife has it. Eff. At least Lily started with it two weeks ago so hopefully she'll avoid a repeat performance.

Having been down the transport rabbit hole to some degree I tend to consider them to only be potentially influential. By doing so I try to use something decent (e.g. not a $50 DVD player) but will not go to the extreme of using some $5000 super suspension system insanity.

I'm not sure I'd say the Millett is something you can't miss. It's a heck of a budget rig, don't get me wrong, but I'd encourage something more challenging.

Gorgeous? No, not in my book. I might approach elegant if it wasn't named after do-do but I'm not sure I'd even rate it as sexy. I am curious to learn how they made it, "Tube rollable to permit use of hundreds of different tube types", that just doesn't seem possible unless the tube isn't doing, well, shit.

Generally, they are spec'd by the hole they leave behind but I wouldn't count on any more than half a tenth +/- of accuracy.

Two that come to mind for me are: Swallow The Sun - New Moon (although it was a late '09 release) and Gangstagrass - Gangstagrass (web-only, limited release mp3, now vaporware unfortunately) I'm sure there are many, many more but I've been in a musical drought lately so my memory is badly faded.

Got up, cleared the driveway, drove to work. Was one of roughly 10 employees to make it in (out of 60 or so) so it was a remarkably productive day. Now home listening to the wind howl outside trying to contact customer support for my wife's laptop which appears to have chewed through yet another battery. :S

If you want to have a private conversation about something that no one else gives a shit about use a PM.

The 3G/S certainly look dated now, by comparison with many competitors. But I'd argue that they wasted a ton of $$ on the 4 screen. Yes, it is nice, but the screen on my X by virtue of size and a still high pixel density is a much richer overall experience. There's no sense of pixelation or loss of resolution unless you're holding the phone 6" from your nose, which is indicative of far bigger problems for the user. In truth I'd prefer a slightly smaller screen that I currently have, perhaps just larger than the Droid Incredible's, but I'm 95% fine with the X size-wise.

Hmmm, perhaps not all hope is lost... I'll certainly update this thread when the new tips arrive from Etymotic.
