Found out today that a math teacher I had my sophomore year of high school was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer last September. Yesterday his wife signed a DNR. He isn't yet 40 and has 4 kids, all of which are less than 7 years old and one that was born after he began chemo. We weren't close, and I hadn't seen him in 8 years. Nonetheless, I thought of him from time to time and admired his sincerity and honesty when I was in his class. His first child was born that semester and I will never forget his excitement. He started off every day with an update on his wife and the pregnancy and some sort of story from his college days. It's really incomprehensible.

Ah damn, thanks for the quick responses guys. The cost would have just enabled me to be lazy, and since I don't have a small library by any means I'll just continue to manage my own updates through standard syncs in iTunes.

I didn't splurge for the 32GB over the 16GB because I don't use many apps and storage was never a problem on my old 3GS. This looks like a very reasonable way to access all of my music and not worry about changing about my travel/workout playlist every few weeks. Playlist syncing over iCloud looks pretty slick.

Actually from yesterday, but I accepted my next role. Assuming approvals work out, I'll be in Manhattan starting on Monday for two weeks of training on a new product from Oracle. Actual project is happening in northern Indiana, so not too far away from home but I'll get some hotel points.

Congrats to Jeff/Emelius for winning League 1. Just too much firepower from his side for me to overcome (though Forte turned out alright after all, eh?). AP was the pick of the year. Jim had an awesome season in League 2 considering he had to autodraft. He kept our final way too close for comfort. Lessons learned: - I don't think we should have two-week Championships next year. The season should end at week 16. Week 17 is just too unpredictable with teams sitting starters. - Drew Brees has now been the starting QB for at least 3 of our last 4 championship teams, regardless of league size. - I'm not drafting a TE before round 7 in 2013. - Matt Stafford went from 41 TD's in 2011 to less than 20 in 2012, but because he still threw more than 40 times a game I wouldn't mind drafting him again if given the choice. - I'm never drafting Darren McFadden again. - It will be a crime if C.J. Spiller isn't Buffalo's #1 RB at the start of 2013. - Playing multiple teams is pretty fun. I'm still glad we don't play for money though. Thanks Jeff K. for running things smoothly as ever!
