Oppo BDP-95
I thought I would resurrect this old thread since my 95 arrived yesterday. While at work, I formatted a 2TB drive to FAT32 and loaded a bunch of FLAC, about 300GB. When I got home I set up the 95 and connected the external usb drive. I figured I would run into all sorts of issues. To my surprise, it recognized the drive, has a very easy to use interface, displayed the album art when available and played music that really sounds great. I got nervous when I realized I didn't have a preamp when I was setting it up. Volume control was the one thing I had not considered when I bought the 95. I took a look at the manual and sure enough, it has volume control for analog outputs. I picked up the 2d season of Breaking Bad in BR and it worked like a charm. The picture quality was HD quality, So far, I'm pretty happy with this all in one solution.

While waiting for Jp:

And now what did you do TODAY?
Shelly, sorry about the drought. We have been on water restrictions for more than a year but at least we are getting rain. ' Al, cool fridge and nice selection. Greg, Jp is back. As I understand it, he is watched 24/7 until his 90 day probationary period expires. They are taking no chances this time. Who can blame them.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Put a Thule rack on my car for the kayak, had lunch and went beer shopping with Jp. Picked up a case of Life and Limb. Marc, wishing your dad well. Brent, glad to hear your getting better. My numbness took a while to go away, although I didn't have surgery. I'm sure yours will do the same.

I've spent the last few hours listening to the first show and ripping the first three. I should have all the ripping done this week end. I saw that they were looking to moved the race. Is it official? I am going to try to be there.

i picked up a bottle of Angels Envy last week after getting a taste at my local liquor store. It's good stuff. In addition to that got my wife her birthday, which is today as well as our 25th anniversary present. I'm glad that is out of the way. Picked up a new 10 year mortgage which closed today. Needless to say several watches have gone out and several have come in. Finally, my 77 disc Grateful Dead Europe '72 box set arrived today. I have a lot of ripping to do.

That sounds like a great time! I am waiting for the A/C guy to call back so he can make a service call today to hopefully get my A/C going again. It's about 99 outside and just hit 79 inside and climbing. At least I will be in the A/C for a while at the Apple Store to buy a MBA or MBP for my daughter to replace her 6 year old white MB. The screen is shot. With law school hopefully a year away for her, it's time for a new comp. Here is a pic of the blueberry pie I made. The oven being on didn't help the situation but I started the pie before I realized the A/C was out.

Hurricane Irene Takes Aim For East Coast
This is excellent advice. We used to fill up the bathtubs and a large plastic garbage pail with water and have buckets to use for flushing. You don't want to run out of water for flushing.

I use the 13" Ristretto from Bihn which fits my 11" MBA and iPad. I went with the 13" because I was afraid anything smaller would be too small.

After Wilma we were out of power for 2 weeks. Fortunately, we have a generator so we were able to keep the fridge cold and watch tv since we had Directv. The propane grills came in handy as well.
