  1. Concert tickets for Within Tempation and Opeth/Katatonia, and signed copy of Opeth - Heritage.
  2. I felt nothing at work today, but something knocked my umbrella over from its position leaning against the wall.
  3. Groceries.
  4. Happy birthday, old man.
  5. I am practically counting on it. Need something to fill the vacuum up there.
  6. 48hr @ 147F brisket with reduce vizzle juice as a sauce. Very tender, but I probably should have actually brined it instead of just adding a tiny bit of sugar, salt, and pepper, and I think I would lower the temperature into the 135-140 range next time too. Still was good, just slightly dry.
  7. Thunderpants or sr4070.
  8. Shelly, we had something like 4" on Sunday. This is from a week or so ago fairly near my apartment (not my photo). You can have as much as you can drink.
  9. Mike, you could easily fit several pounds. I am only doing one pound though, but my machine has an 8.7L capacity, and the one in Jeff's picture is 11.2L. I will definitely post pics, Shelly.
  10. I just put a brisket in my Sous Vide supreme. 147 degrees for 48 hours, little sugar, little salt, little pepper.
  11. Probably just as well, as the weather looks like it will be wet through the weekend. My parents will be coming up with their exchange student this weekend, so I guess she will end up going back to Spain with the impression that NYC is one huge lake.
  12. What Fitz said, you guy rock!
  13. Happy birthday Tyll!
  14. Had a Montinore Estate '09 Pinot Gris tonight, wasn't bad.
  15. Reks, I don't know that it is really your color. Have you decided how you will pair it with your outfits?
  16. I used a 2040u for years. Very much happier with my current LCD.
  17. Thought I would give Chianti a shot, '01 Cantina di Montalcino Riserva. Doesn't suck.
  18. 132F for 2 hours, bacon, 2yr cheddar.
  19. That looks right to me as well. About how my Merrells fit. Besides VFF, I have not had shoes where you want the toes to go to the end.
  20. Nothing fancy like what has been posted here, but was playing with my new SX230 HS over the weekend around 1am to see how it did no flash. 14x zoom New WTC from Hoboken.
  21. But...the bassies, how does it fit through?
  22. Oh, and forgot to actually list my Sous Vide Supreme demi water oven. That thing always makes me happy. Mobile internet on my phone never fails either. Music, obviously.
  23. Do you actually notice a difference with the charged cotton? I always assumed that was a gimmick. Definitely agreed on the wicking clothing though, I wear one of these v-necks under my button shirts every day and have had almost no sweat marks on the outer shirt this summer even walking 4+ miles outside every day. Love the 95% Micro Modal / 5% Lycra mix, the fitted poly wicking undershirts I have tried felt like wearing garbage bags in comparison. I need to get some shell in my life, though really want it in boot form. BB non iron is convenient, I just don't like the cut, pocket, or box pleat. I think the luxury ones fix the last two of these, and a tailor could fix the first... I tried the mimimus on last night, still felt like there was a decent amount of heel-toe drop compared to my Merrells which are dead neutral, and I didn't find them as comfortable. For actual running though the Saucony Kinvaras are still my favorite, pretty minimal but still with a bit of padding. That would make me too hungry, seeing all of that steak walking around outside my window.
  24. Congrat(s) Reks!
  25. A chicken. Mmm, chicken, good!
