  1. Wow, that resolution at 12800 is really impressive.
  2. You can check
  3. May should be OK for visiting Rome, not too hot yet. From there you could go to Florence (Firenze), which is one of those places which need to be visited. If you can't do May go the second half of September, but by all means avoid the summer in Rome. Way too hot and humid, way too many people everywhere. Paris is nice too, but it's more about grandeur (and damn expensive) than anything else. Moreover most Frenchies hate americans, Parisians hate everyone else anyway, and no matter how good is your French, they'll know, more or less with the same accuracy a London snob would know you're not of royal breed. Well, just kidding, or not.. well, Paris deserves a visit too, but the car drive up Ireland's west coast sounds very romantic, and more relaxed.
  4. This. I didn't notice that my 717 had a bypass switch.

A Spanish newspaper "El PaĆs" is giving for free the last recording by Dudamel conducting the Simon Bolivar Orchestra performing 5 pieces from Wagner's the Ring Cycle. It's available in either 16 or 24 bits, FLAC or ALAC. To make it easy, you need to go to Quozbuz page then introducing the following promotion code 63AB75BA I wish you enjoy it

  20. You're looking way better than I expected, good for you! Sending good vibes your way, I wish every care you (as in you and McKenna) need is covered. Hang in there.
  21. So the actual problem is that the Roxannes, while very good on some aspects, are not the happy midfield you were enjoying. As you and Dusty say, you took Jerry's words too seriously. I for one wouldn't spend that kind of money on custom IEMs unless I've been able to sample them in some "reliable" way. And probably not even were that the case. But if most people were like Dusty and I there wouldn't be a market for customs.
  22. Leonardo, I can understand your frustration and that you're somewhat deceived, but the cold fact is that manufacturers, as soon as they can produce a new "improvement" and charge you for it, they'll do. You've been in this hobby long enough to know. If you're happy with the Roxannes, just enjoy them, but if you think they can be improved and you know more or less for sure that another product improves that, swap them and don't look back. One of our biggest problems as audio hobbyists is not knowing where we want to go and what we want to achieve. Not knowing that places us in that silly continuous "searching for the better". IMO it's just ignorance disguised as curiosity fuelling that.
  23. I'm sorry, Chris. I wish it's just the soft tissue injury. Fingers crossed
  24. Leonardo, you're wrong. You're just pissed off because you thought you were buying the best custom IEM forever and ever and you ended up owning a midrange IEM. So what? live with your Roxannes or move on, sell them and get the new TOTL which probably will be TOTL for a few months. That's how market economy and consumerism goes. It's either joining the merry-go-round of purchasing every few months a new "best" or learning to be happy with what you got once it gives some decent performance for your needs.
