And now what did you do TODAY?
Jacob, sorry for the apartment fiasco Good luck finding another place soon. Brent, that meeting sounds awesome. Were you able to compare the sax tone on the Orpheus and the OII? Same amp? Just curious, sax is one of those damn instruments that rarely get its timbre properly reproduced.

What are you listening to Part the Third
It was recorded live in 1954, which is almost 10 years after the WW2 ended. A good rendition nonetheless.

iPad apps
It's the one I'm using on my iTouch. It plays 24/96 Flac files, something native iOS music application doesn't do with HD ALAC files. I need to install the newest version to see if it doesn't screw up with .jpg cover files when included into the music folder you upload to it. I have no iPad, so I can't say how it works on it. No idea if there're better or just different options either.

Problem is that a surgery removing a cartilage which gives stability to the articulation, leaves it less secure and not adequate to charge your whole body weight until some firm healing is obtained. Then you'll need to increase your muscular strength to provide more stability. That takes some time, but it's the ticket for a stable articulation and normal life. You'll be good- Audeze LCD-3
I love the RLC indicator- And now what did you do TODAY?
Best wishes, Al. Looks like we have an epidemics of traumatology-orthopedics problems Goes to knock on wood.- What are you listening to Part the Third
Tom Waits - Bad As Me- And now what did you do TODAY?
Sorry for the bad news, Shelly. Is the surgery an arthroscopy procedure? If so I'd go for it instead of rest, cortisone and PT. Brent, it's really great that they operated you before the serious complications started. Compression of the cauda equina, as Jvlgato said, may be quite disabling. I'm glad things went well for you- Post the last thing you bought!
That's a lot of stuff Al, enjoy it!- Happy Birthday Hirsch!
Happy Birthday!!!!- Happy Birthday Acidbasement!
Wow, have a great day!!!!! Happy Bday.- Audeze LCD-3
Same system is obviously impossible for the headphones amplification requirements, but I'd like to know if the LCD-3 were powered by a tube amp- Happy Birthday CarlSeibert!

Happy Birthday!!!!- Audeze LCD-3
My take is that Audeze was making less money with the LCD-2 than they expected, or they just used it to show they can do it. After all a new company cannot sell their new TOL product at 2K bucks and selling it like hot cakes. It's also possible that it's more expensive to produce than they had calculated. Solution? Tweak it, make it to sound a bit different, change a couple of cosmetic features, and put it a price which really allows the company to make money. Then the LCD-3 comes out. I'm afraid that their maths may fail when calculating the potential market and how many they'll sell compared to what they're selling of the LCD-2.- What are you listening to Part the Third
Curtis Amy & Dupree Bolton - Katanga!- Happy Birthday Boomana
Happy birthday dear, I wish you get yet another whole year of happiness. If happiness isn't possible, then some fun- CanJam 2011 is RMAF (Denver CO 10/14-16)
Nice pics!- Spotify
I've been using Spotify for a couple of years, always free user. At first there were only the ads, with no limits, now they short it at 10 hours/mo. It's a good legal way to try new music which you aren't sure is worth purchasing, but while their catalog is huge, there's plenty of music they don't have available. Or perhaps I have a weird musical taste. Anyway, it's a good service and I wouldn't mind paying for it if the limits become too short.- CanJam 2011 is RMAF (Denver CO 10/14-16)
Great pics. If possible, visit the Merlin-Ars Sonum room and report back. The amp, the new "Gran Filarmonia", is a product of a friend of mine. I own the lower power "Filarmonia" which IMHO is a great sounding tube amp. Haven't tried that new model yet, actually no need of moar powa Have fun mates! - And now what did you do TODAY?
