  1. Get this thing working so I can listen to it in San Diego
  2. Man, I'm so bummed out that I forgot to listen to Frank's 507 at the NorCal meet. People were saying it had a lot more bass impact than the previous Lambdas. Actually, I ran over to Frank's rig to try to listen to it but he was already packing, so I put them on just to see how the new arc assembly fit me. It was a considerably tighter fit than the older arc assemblies. I'm guessing that since it seems to seal the ears better now, that helps out with the bass (see the FR plots of a Lambda properly fitted vs a Lambda with a bad seal between the ear and driver). Well, that and the stiffer mounting scheme. Do you think there's any truth to this or am I being 'Ed'-ish?
  3. Hey! It is NOT an addiction! I think... purrin good to see you here
  4. That was a fun meet. Ironbut, I never saw you! I saw your rig next to Frank's though.
  5. Yep In Rainbows was probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite album of theirs (after OK Comp and possibly The Bends). Can't wait to hear this.
  6. I am most likely going to be driving up from LA. I'm hoping to fix the Menace somehow in the next week so people can listen to it. I've been talking to CEE TEE in PM about the meet and he seems like a really nice guy. He probably wants the OP to be as noob friendly as possible, thus the pics, and I see nothing wrong with that. Good for him for taking on such a large meet. Hope to see some of you there.
  7. While I was browsing the forum with my phone, I accidentally clicked on something near the bottom that shows the full version of the forums (as seen by default on computers). Any way to revert it back to the mobile version?
  8. Cheap, doable for beginners, and I've been looking for a low power speaker amp/dynamic HP amp...I think I'm gonna try to build this.

    Meet Neko!

Love the Einstein she's got going
  10. My ESL 57s are from 1984 and work perfectly. They actually get sunlight through a small window maybe 30 minutes per day; should I just put a cloth covering them while not in use or will this make no difference?
  11. Nice, enjoy! Can't wait to hear a DIYT2 one of these days.
  12. Some tools. Drill, bits, centerpunch, needle nose pliers, panavise, bunch of wire, etc
  13. The Stax thread over there has been moved back btw
