Oddly enough, I was excused for cause. It was a car accident personal injury case and the only shred of reason I can think of is that I said I represent insurance companies, which is true. Weird but I'll take it. Some day I want to serve on one.
Sitting in a jury box waiting to be voir dired. Can't decide whether to press hardship or just wait to be excused from jury service as I always have been.
Those remind me that Dynamo Donuts is doing beer donuts with Almanac brews in them this week.
Earlier tonight, Claire and I made Mike and Debbie's kale/fennel/sausage/white bean stew and it was delicious. I am still working and was thinking about having another helping even though now I really want Grahame and Joanne's donuts after seeing those pictures.
Happy birthday spymaster! I hope you get to ride a bike, play guitar, take zoo photos, listen to music, drink some cocktails and craft beer, and control a head or two on your big day!
Cheers!
Good luck Dan and the rest of the winter sufferers. My daughter texted this morning that Vassar had a foot of snow overnight but refused to call a snow day today.
Agree with Jacob. With or without strong heroine an addiction like this does not involve choice. I obviously don't know the details but he was supposedly sober for 23 years when he went into rehab in 2012, and just recently went through rehab for snorting heroine. It's tragic and stupid but I don't think you can dismiss the struggle just because the guy could afford treatment.
Looking good Greg! Are those sourdough baguettes or sweet? Someone needs to figure out how to make baguettes with the taste and texture of the ones in the motherland. Import water, flour, whatever it takes!
