  1. Wut? Where were the other two new tires? Some tires need to be new all at the same time to avoid uneven wear or some nonsense. If the installer screwed up you should think about making them give you 4 new ones now. And installing them all now too.
  2. Thanks Jim but I meant the Intel Thunderbolt I/O cable that uses the same connector as the mini display port but I think is different cable.
  3. I actually think "epic" is an understatement for a change. Holy shit that's a big sandwich.
  4. Anybody know if Thunderbolt cable is even available now?
  5. I was watching that game for a short time when it was 3-3 and then 4-3 and I thought the Bruins looked terrible in comparison. That's quite a turn-around.
  6. Esperanza Spalding interview and live performance on Sirius Real Jazz.
  7. Go small or stay home! Or something like that.
  8. Not necessarily coffee based but can be coffee based, like Dark Lord that has had INTELLIGENTSIA coffee in it (although I don't know if it always does). From Beer Advocate: Russian Imperial Stout Description: Inspired by brewers back in the 1800's to win over the Russian Czar, this is the king of stouts, boasting high alcohol by volumes and plenty of malt character. Low to moderate levels of carbonation with huge roasted, chocolate and burnt malt flavours. Often dry. Suggestions of dark fruit and flavors of higher alcohols are quite evident. Hop character can vary from none, to balanced to aggressive. Average alcohol by volume (abv) range: 8.0-12.00% [ ? ]
  9. Or did he break half of all of his bones?
  10. Congrat Ric. Did you get the used one or go new?
  11. Agreed. I'm not an ilok hater but the rest of them screwed it up for us.
  12. Just got a bottle last night. How is it? As for me, I just had a meeting at my house/construction zone in SF that experienced a great deal of water damage from rain last night because the roof is opened up and the interior courtyard had been ripped out due to pre-existing leaks. Quite unexpectedly they had to rip off the beautiful plaster walls in our hall and bedroom that had survived for 80 years. The contractor is eating the cost but fucked up nonetheless. This drove me to drink so I stopped at Marin Brewing Company for an Orange & Black brewed in honor of the world champion San Francisco Giants.
  13. JP told me the serial number is on the ilok dongle. Maybe you should try that. I plan to tonight v
  14. Listened again because Zorn is never easy to pin down. This record continues to some extent from the Interzone record, although I that was with a bigger band. This one is a quartet with Medeski on piano, Kenny Wollesen on Vibes, Trevor Dunn on bass and Joey Baron on drums. The piano and vibes combo is very cool, and the tunes range from full compositions to structured improvisations. I like this record quite a bit on two listens. NP: tUnE yArDs -- WHOKILL
  15. The two on the right are certainly worth a little drive. Funny that the Lot B is $5 more and the Pappy 15yo is $5 less than a local store here. Last night, I met Ric at City Beer for some beer and then dinner at the corner diner, Citizen's Band: Lagunitas Brewing's The Waldos seasonal ale on tap NB Lips of Faith La Folie in a bottle Russian River Consecration on tap Victory Golden Monkey in a bottle Waldos was ok, not great, the Golden Monkey was forgettable, and the other two are pure joy.
  16. Both Mini and iMac are set for new releases this summer, so I would wait on purchasing either one.
  17. I'm going to get a little closer to the proper celebration by hitting City Beer to try Lagunitas' new brew called The Waldos Special Ale, which is being tapped at 4:20 exactly: Reasons to swing by City Beer to taste this concoction: 1.) We are the first folks in San Francisco to tap this hoppy nectar. 2.) When a hoppy beer of this caliber is tapped at exactly 4:20pm, you have a responsibility to indulge. 3.) Drink one for me, because Baby W. is taking a pass. 4.) If the top three reasons don't satisfy your desire to sip on Waldos' Special today, read the passage below from the mouth of the brewery. The legend: "In 1971, the Waldos met one afternoon at 4:20 in the front courtyard of their school near the statue of Louis Pasteur. They set out in a '66 Impala armed with a "treasure map" on a journey to find a secret garden near Point Reyes. They met there at the same time every day and continued their quest. They never found the secret garden.....but they keep lookin'. The dankest and hoppiest beer ever brewed at Lagunitas was made with the help of the Waldos for all treasure hunters."
  18. "Cheap", "local" and "extremely intoxicating" reminds me of my last date...
  19. Ass Pony NY has finally solved the problem of having too many rooms and not enough time. With a total of 7 vendors for a 3-day show, you can really take it all in, and still have time for hookers and beer.* *dictated by JP.
  20. Pizza party sounds perfect! Sorry about the financial woes, Al, and I hope things turn around faster than you think. Greg, you are a walking party! But honestly, sorry for your loss, and don't fly Southwest anymore.
  21. See! Tons of sex in GoT!

Steve is too kind. Sneis is fucked in the head.
  23. Nope. Just curious and figured it was out of place for this thread.
  24. Honey Badger 2 oz Ransom Old Tom Gin 3/4 oz Koval Chrysanthemum honey liqueur 3/4 oz Charteuse Shake and strain into chilled rocks glass. Garnish with lemon peel. I didn't have the Koval but I do have Xtabentun, an herbal honey liqueur that I bought in Mexico years ago and never tried until now. Not bad and it does add some honey overtone to the chartreuse and old Tom. Regardless, this drink don't give a shit!
