Ye Macce Threade
Probably changed because it was an obvious and idiotic trademark infringement.

Ye Macce Threade
I was super close to getting the MBA twice this week but I am not traveling a lot until this summer so I am going to wait and see if this refresh really happens. 11 incher is definitely the move.

Head-Fi NorCal 2/19 meet
He is sticking his neck out pretty far because he now has three rooms rented. I would guess that is about $1200 so he wants to make sure to get his nut covered.

Head-Fi NorCal 2/19 meet
Yes, but he had to take that down. Now, for some reason, he is asking people to contribute to the room *and* to put money into a raffle. Those are really supposed to be one and the same in my book.

Head-Fi NorCal 2/19 meet
And how many of them have mire than 10 posts in other threads on HF? I will be in Tahoe that weekend anyway, but the attendee list is an indictment of what is wrong with HF today.

JeffersonJam 2011?
When those places say "sleeps 17" they mean there are beds for 17, not room on the floor for 17 Aerobeds. I could fit 57 people into a place like that!

JeffersonJam 2011?
You had better lay in a supply of the most appropriate beers possible for this event:

I guess I'll have to ask Duggeh if it was Cynar he mentioned and the accent turned it into Chinato in my brain.

Boulevardier Cocktail a la Duggeh 1.5oz Old Rip Van Winkle 107 proof 1oz Cocchi Barolo Chinato 1oz Perucchi Italian Vermouth Orange peel If I was hearing correctly then Doug told me recently that he likes to substitute Chinato for Campari in cocktails. Pretty tasty.

The horrors!

And now what did you do TODAY?
[although "rofs" -- rolling on floor snoring -- would be even more appropriate]

Those glasses are even hotter than the one I got during CJ. Nice!

JeffersonJam 2011?
This is a very cool idea in a timeframe that I have very little chance of making it. I will subscribe to your newsletter and follow the progress.

Happy birthday VPI!
I hope your butler at the Marriott brought you a cake with a maid to pop out of it. Cheers!

Just to be clear, Bryan, NEVER pass up Black Hole or Brunch because they are awesome. The barrel aged versions of Black Hole was an experiment and the bourbon and whiskey were both fantastic and the rum and wine were merely excellent. JP likes the wine version most of all, by the way.

Congrat Shelly, that is a great testament to you. Although Claire loves teaching high school, I am certain that if her big-shot PhD advisor had made a real effort she would have gotten a proper tenure-track job and would still be a professor. Naaman cannot come home soon enough because he needs to get out of that hellhole but also so I can drink the last of my Parker's 27! You mean there is something in that picture other than the Parker's 27? The FiftyFifty completely blew the Mikkeller out of the water in my book, and I thought the Mikkeller was awesome. If you can find a bottle of the Four Roses or the Evan Williams especially you should go for it. There is a Pappy 23 version from an earlier year that I would LOVE to get somehow. Sacriliege, burn him!

A really, really good week[end] for beer: *Started off with Strong Beer Month offerings at 21st Amendment(Two Lane Blacktop black IPA, Red Imp imperial amber American ale, Imperial Jack ESB, 21 Rock triple IPA, and Lord & Master strong English blond) and Magnolia Brewing (Rye Rye Rocco, Promised Land IPA, Old Thunderpussy barleywine). *Continued strong with 2 kegs from Iron Springs Brewpub (Epiphany Ale and JC Flyer IPA) *Hit fever pitch at RRBC for the release of Pliny the Younger, with a Supplication mixed in. *Slipped back a bit with another keg of IPA from Marin Brewing Company, although it was better the second day. *Climbed back up to the top with a DFH/SN Life & Limb, an Abbeye de Saint Bon Chien sour, and a Cantillon Rosé De Gambrinus. *And then went way into the stratosphere with Three Flights Down on Sunday: Mikkeller Black Hole Barrel Aged imperial stout: Rum / Scotch / Bourbon / Wine Fifty Fifty Brewing Eclipse Barrel Aged imperial stout made with honey: Four Roses / Christian Brothers Brandy / Evan Williams Bourbon / Rittenhouse Rye Heaven Hill De Dolle Oerbier Special Reserva: 2009 / 2005 / 2006 / 2009 (again) Of course, there were also some nice DIY cocktails, and some extraordinary pro cocktails at Bourbon & Branch and Alembic Bar along the way too.

Hey, I can see it now! Nice stuff. Try the Corn -n- Oil and see if that works better with Falernum. I really like that drink a lot. There are also different kinds of Falernum, including DIY options in case you want to investigate.

Coffee Grinders
What I have in Mayberry is an old, cheap Starbucks branded POS because we don't grind beans as a rule. JP knows all the right ones, Shelly so just PM him.

Congrat to Indra, Birgir and all the other purchasers! Keep the world economy flowing! p.s. I could not see Shelly's booze haul and that gave me a sad.

Carthusian Cocktail. Not their original, but maybe a variation. Yummy though for sure. Do you still have one laid down? If not, we can do something about that. yay Shelly! That's a Dry Manhattan.
