http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones/SCH-I605MSAVZW'>Samsung Galaxy Note II, developer edition You know, I just got mine about 10 days ago, I wonder if I could upgrade it without additional cost (meaning as if I never upgraded to the non-developer edition). Sent them (both Verizon and Samsung) a query to that effect.

http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20110831105634716&query=lion+usb I'm doing this right now to get my copy of Lion for my rMBP. Will post if it works. I didn't want to upgrade to ML until I knew I had a working copy of the Lion installer for it. -
Well it does look solid, and hard, but not sure how that popped up on your query.

New Wyred 4 Sound goodies at RMAF
monsieurguzel replied to Eric5676's topic in Home Source Components
I'm a little confused with what you really get for the $2000.... How is this any different than getting a mac mini (previous gen. w/ cd drive) and setting up XLD to autorip and query internet for cd info when you insert a cd. Then all you need is a library program like itunes, j.river, or the logitech squeezebox to automatically read your database and serve your music via DLNA. Mac mini looks a whole lot better and costs about $500. -
The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
Torpedo replied to Knuckledragger's topic in Miscellaneous
I loved the Super-A for its small form factor, versatility and features (it even had a lever to close the diaphragm to the selected number so you could check DOF). I have 3 glasses, but they're not AF and are rated for FF, so I'm not sure how they'll perform on a new K-5. They say it sports a very good sensor, but it's also true the availability of lenses is very low, worse in Europe. I got the Nikon for compatibility at work with the endoscopic optics adapter, which had a Nikon mount. They lost the adapter, so the Nikon didn't get much use. Fact is that I enjoyed a lot going out to hunt pics, but for several reasons, being two of them the 36mm film being in disappearance, and the low quality of digital photos years ago. But now things are way different, hence my query. Thanks for replying Aerius Hadn't ready your post Reks. Thanks. Looks like I mistook the 18-200 VRII for other of the kit zoom lenses they include with the D5001 and D3001 bodies. I've found a better price for the D700 body. Since I'm not in a hurry I could wait for a new "entry level" FF by Nikon. Any expected features that make worth the wait and probable price increase? -
Good stuff Nate! Hope it works well. If you still are interested in the Focal's, touch base with the guys at Fidelis in Derry (Walter (owner) and Bill), I think they used to carry that Sib/Cub (?) sub/sat system....since they moved from Salem to Derry, though, I'm not sure they still do. But might be worth a query....
-
Well I meant that you would also include the album or song or genre in the query, but it turns out (after trying it some more yesterday) that just using regular google instead of google "site search" will yield better results. I do the same thing when I shop for used music, and sometimes look to see if the seller may also have a storefront on Amazon, or try to see if the Amazon seller may have more of what I'm looking for than the eBay seller does. I don't have very good luck most of the time, but sometimes it clicks and I find 2 good albums, or a good album and a good book. I've had lot's better success with Amazon than eBay lately.
-
How about using google site search for eBay, and including the seller's name in the query.

Look youngster, you're just digging a deeper hole. Justin Bieber will sound pretty much the same on any amp, so your query really isn't that important anyway. Trying to talk shit to our good friends will win you a permaban pretty fucking quick over here sweetie. Now go outside and play like a good boy.

an Android Phantom Swiss 5 watch...for my mother. Can't believe I didn't think of this when I posted my query in the watches thread, I actually have one. It'll be perfect -- it's extremely thin and light, yet durable, with a large, easily legible face.

Try playlists with the 1G AppleTV. Then report back. In 15 words or less (which you almost were able to do in response to my last query...but not quite). Edit: I also don't understand what 1g v 2g has to do with the Playlist suggestion. In fact, if you don't try it today and report back your success, I might ban you. Happy thanksgiving! : )

hmmmmm ... seems a silly query .... why wouldn't have all of them, mon ami?

Has the DAC landscape gotten convoluted lately?
postjack replied to Superpredator's topic in Home Source Components
I like what DC said. my budget threshold has always been <$1000, so I read a few reviews, read some impressions, then from that pool of generally well received sources I choose a DAC based on two more things: 1) features and 2) does it give me that "feel-good" DAC sensation? when I read reviews do my brain electrons tingle and say "yes this is the one"? so while I truly do love the sound of my Quad CDP-2, I also like that it just makes me happy to own it. doesn't hurt that the rest of my gear is Quad of course. to more directly answer the OP's query, yes I feel like the DAC market is way more saturated then it was 5 years ago. and I agree that most of your $500-$1000 DACS are probably at least pretty good. I really like the looks of this Peachtree Decco2. -

nope yours is the translated link after the database query was run...useful only to you, for about 5 minutes.

this is the most hopeful page I've found so far with a similar approach recommended here, maybe duplicate your folders and give it a try. It may be worth posting your query to Thunderbird Support ; mozillaZine Forums oh and next time doug backup the mbox files reading the title of this thread gave me an instant flashback of thunderbird 2 lifting off from tracy island, a well spent youth

Mysteriously Musical Amplifier (Moth 300B "Problem")
909 replied to Voltron's topic in Headphone Amplification
my ec2a3 did/does the same thing. here's craig's response to my 6/06 query regarding music coming out of the amp without headphones or speakers connected... "Electra-Print does not vacuum impregnate their output transformers. The transformer lamentations actual move to the signal, and act as low level speakers. This in no way effects the sound through the speakers or headphones. It is normal, and all of jack's transformers exhibit that anomaly." -
I dunno about that.. you can talk to him about it. It seems like his modus operandi is that he just builds stuff for the sake of building it for fun and then sells it at ~parts cost. I didn't really query him too much about it because there isn't much I'm looking for right now. I mostly overheard him chatting with someone about it while waiting for the raffle to go down.
-
well, thrice has one he`s built for sale at $1350 Rockhopper Audio Buffalo DAC n.b. might have been better to put your query in its own thread rather than bumping this one

Let me add one thing: Given the current state of the Poor Man's sim issues with Eagle, I was able to subtly (and in the context of the current development) inquire if, in his opinion, the full up Eagle (or some other tool) would be of any benefit. He did not indicate he thought it would, perhaps thinking I was suggesting him buy it. Nonetheless, I get no feel that he thinks Eagle is worth paying for. Nor did he respond to my query about what other tools might be better, so we have no input about how he values the simulation tools, especially after Eagle has 'failed' to date in the Stacker II and Poor Man's Stat amp simulations. Another factor is the availability of the hd800 - no man knows the hour (day / month / year) they will be available, but should know by the end of April, and maybe even the April in this year. I still vote hd800, and will do so properly in email.

I've monitored results from a sonic frontiers query pretty closely on audiogon for the past several months... sfd-2 mark 2s do seem to regularly move for 900-1300 dollars.

What can I do about this possible scam ?! Serious help needed here!
Killercrush replied to Killercrush's topic in Off Topic
Alright, I can do that, but how can I do so ?! Also, I don't have the $1000 money order proof, I only have the $750 one. The only way I can prove that $1000 was sent to her is by asking eBay to give me the proof that it was paid, which I don't know if that's a possible query. -
I've already got 3 Lambdas: the 202s, the 303s and the 404s, I can't believe that the Signatures are radically different, and in any case, that's not what my query was about. I want to know why, after all I'd read, that my long-aspired-to dream of owning the 007/717 is not delivering what I'd expected!

Sorry, missed this earlier, the diodes that we were considering were 6.3V heaters and that still would have meant running an additional transformer. It's my understand that running the rectifier and say the input tube off of the same heater supply is not a good idea at all. Not to mention that in this amp both the input and output tube heater supplies are referenced to B+ and floated above ground. I've run your initial question by the designer and I'll add this information to the query and see what he says. Let's hope there aren't major issues with the PS design as that would put a serious hurting on my hopes of getting this thing running any time soon.

Steve, I read this post on Audiogon and thought about your query. I just bought the Perfection steam cleaner at Walgreens. Since I was impatient, I tried it with filtered water on some records I didn't care about. Just blasted them with the steam and wiped with a nice thick microfiber auto detailing cloth from Target. Quick, simple, and more effective than my Nitty Gritty. Highly recommended. One thing that bothered me was the nasty burning plastic chemical smell from the steam. We are all so worried about having the purest water, but in the end contamination from the plastic leaching nasty stuff into the steam is probably a bigger problem. The records sounded great, however.
