April 6, 201214 yr Did anyone see this? https://schiit.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=0&products_id=11 Sounds promising. They seem to have been building pretty good products in the 200-400 price range and it's nice to see them getting more ambitious. Specs alone look quite good!
April 6, 201214 yr I'm interested in both this and the matching amp. Not a bad pricepoint, but I would definitely need to demo.
April 6, 201214 yr Schiit has a 15-day money back guarantee on all their products. To demo just order and return (which they're fine with.)
April 6, 201214 yr Wondering if this and the new Mjolnir could possibly make a nice $1.5 system. Also really curious what's gonna end up in the signature dac. Anyone have good experiences with the Bifrost? Edited April 6, 201214 yr by blessingx
April 6, 201214 yr Author Looks cool. I like this: "USB 2.0, 24/192, Async, Completely Buzzword Compliant " Yes! I love when a company like that shows a sense of humour, it's quite refreshing! I'm interested in both this and the matching amp. Not a bad pricepoint, but I would definitely need to demo. It seems a great value. The only all balanced amp I know of at a similar pricepoint is the Little Dot MKVI, which I used to own. I thought it was ok, but nothing special. The Meier Eartube trounces it on most regards! I'm quite optimistic about this and the Mjolnir. What's with the names, though? Edited April 6, 201214 yr by Leonardo Drummond
April 6, 201214 yr Norse mythology. Gungnir is Odin's spear and Mjolnir is Thor's hammer. Therefore their reproduction of music is divine? Edited April 6, 201214 yr by morphsci
April 6, 201214 yr Author Norse mythology. Gungnir is Odin's spear and Mjolnir is Thor's hammer. Therefore their reproduction of music is divine? Hahahaha now that's a good interpretation
April 6, 201214 yr To bad they can't spell the names correctly. I wonder how many realize the name is bif-röst and not bi-frost....
April 6, 201214 yr I hear one should only wire up Schiit gear with Nordost cables. Maybe a nice pair of Odins?
April 6, 201214 yr Norse mythology. Gungnir is Odin's spear and Mjolnir is Thor's hammer. Therefore their reproduction of music is divine? I take it to mean that it will pierce your eardrums and give you a pounding headache.
April 6, 201214 yr I take it to mean that it will pierce your eardrums and give you a pounding headache. An equally valid, if more painful, interpretation.
April 6, 201214 yr To bad they can't spell the names correctly. I wonder how many realize the name is bif-röst and not bi-frost.... Yeah you Nordic types have all those weird extra letters.
April 6, 201214 yr ... And weird dots and lines that go through them umlaut is a most badass form of errr... something or another. The more the better. example, this swell Finish album:
April 6, 201214 yr Hey, if you used our lovely letters then you'd type less. For example, though would be þó. Edit. I really don't know what the Finns are adding to their water supply to end up with that... Edited April 6, 201214 yr by spritzer
April 6, 201214 yr How many keystrokes does it take to type þó? Edited April 6, 201214 yr by blessingx
April 6, 201214 yr Edit. I really don't know what the Finns are adding to their water supply to end up with that... I am thinking copious amounts of marijuana was involved in the making of that album/band. It's droning blues/guitar rock sort of stuff.
April 6, 201214 yr umlaut is a most badass form of errr... something or another. The more the better. example, this swell Finish album: Maybe you're thinking of the metal umlaut? Perhaps Colin can enlighten us ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_umlaut
April 6, 201214 yr To bad they can't spell the names correctly. I wonder how many realize the name is bif-röst and not bi-frost.... Have you not heard of Ellis Island Sir? This country has a long and rich tradition of butchering names. Don't fuck with us Sprizzer!
April 6, 201214 yr Easy for you to do this on the other side of the world. I'd like to see you do this in person the next time Thor is in town. Then I'd be impressed...
