Thin/Slim Wallet

Featured Replies

Looking for a very thin/slim and simple wallet to carry in my back or front pocket.  Any suggestions?

Does anyone know anything about these? http://www.all-ett.com/

i am experimenting with money clips.  Don't know if that would work for you or not.

my current favorite is a simple binder clip.  I can hold six cards and about 20 bills with a "No. 50" clip.

Much stronger grip than other clips I've tried.

there is also the flexy carbon fiber clip.

this guy has reviewed a bunch of wallets and things, which is where i found the carbon fiber thing above.

Someone may have to take away my High Roller status, but I just use a thick hair elastic double-wrapped around my most essential cards and cash. Fits great in my front pocket.

Downside is that cash is visible when I'm carrying it, though I could alter that pretty easily.

(This card is depleted to within a few Canadian cents of zero, in case any random HC lurker is thinking of doing something silly with the CC number).

Shelly, I received a gift "parachute" (nylon) wallet I believe from that site and liked it quite a bit. Lasted for far longer than most I've had. Eventually I went smaller with one from http://www.amagpoc.com (there are lots of similar out there). Suspect I'd prefer the former for rear pocket (where thinner matters) and latter for front (seems like s second, smaller phone in the other front pocket).

Machine-era.com makes my front pocket wallet and I'm very happy not having a big wallet in my back pocket. Cards and license are protected and I can strap cash or business cards front or back as well

I often stick little pieces of paper or other random things in my wallet so I need it to be more standard.  So no money clips, rubber bands, or ex machine-era stuff.

I do like the machine-era bottle opener though.

I think I want everything www.machine-era.com sells now.

Ditto. Damn it, Al.

Gene started all of this by giving me the Godwin (whale) bottle opener.  I have bought many an item and gifted several whales myself since then.

I have a Slimfold original wallet.

I like that it's extremely thin, and I hardly notice it in my back pocket. Also, the material is waterproof, which is nice. I've only had it a few months, but it seems pretty durable.

The only thing I don't like is that the material itself is not very attractive. It's kind of plain and blah. You don't feel warm and fuzzy handling it, like with a good quality leather.

But strictly from a utilitarian point of view, it's good.

I use the large bifold wallet from saddleback leather wait nevermind it is enormous and thick.

great wallet though.

I have the all-ett nylon inside-id wallet.  It's the slimmest wallet I've had.  Durable too.  I'm very happy with it and would buy another/recommend.

I saw Al's when he was here for DLD and ordered one immediately. I love it and carry it in my back pocket. It's compact, but its heft lets me know it is there.

And I believe Gene also gave me a whale opener. The only opener I have that can get through waxed bombers without muss or fuss.

Doesn't it hurt to carry this in your back pocket?

Not at all. I carry it there in jeans, shorts, you name it. It's never given me an issue. Of course, I'm not lacking for padding back there. :)

That hurts a little, brother, because it wasn't Gene...  He did give me one -- in Monee at that nearby motel as a matter of fact -- and I have paid it forward a few times, including you and L'il Bro, I believe.  Love you regardless of brain cell loss.

As for the wallet, I have never even considered putting it in my back pocket.  I really like wearing it up front because my back/spine feels better and because it is about as safe as possible.

Still using a big skinny trifold, which is a few years old now. Nothing special looking but it's pretty compact.

My humble apologies middle bro. I do have some memory problems, but I will never forget who my true brothers are. Love you man.
