August 31, 201511 yr comment_701749 i am experimenting with money clips. Don't know if that would work for you or not.my current favorite is a simple binder clip. I can hold six cards and about 20 bills with a "No. 50" clip. Much stronger grip than other clips I've tried.https://db.tt/ixEX6alW there is also the flexy carbon fiber clip. http://www.amazon.com/Flexy-Carbon-Fiber-Money-Clip/dp/B00H07J7HS this guy has reviewed a bunch of wallets and things, which is where i found the carbon fiber thing above.https://www.youtube.com/user/montelli101/videos Report
August 31, 201511 yr comment_701752 I like my Dopp Regatta 88. Works great for me and is cheap. Report
August 31, 201511 yr comment_701753 Someone may have to take away my High Roller status, but I just use a thick hair elastic double-wrapped around my most essential cards and cash. Fits great in my front pocket.Downside is that cash is visible when I'm carrying it, though I could alter that pretty easily.(This card is depleted to within a few Canadian cents of zero, in case any random HC lurker is thinking of doing something silly with the CC number). August 31, 201511 yr comment_701754 Shelly, I received a gift "parachute" (nylon) wallet I believe from that site and liked it quite a bit. Lasted for far longer than most I've had. Eventually I went smaller with one from http://www.amagpoc.com (there are lots of similar out there). Suspect I'd prefer the former for rear pocket (where thinner matters) and latter for front (seems like s second, smaller phone in the other front pocket). August 31, 201511 yr comment_701758 Machine-era.com makes my front pocket wallet and I'm very happy not having a big wallet in my back pocket. Cards and license are protected and I can strap cash or business cards front or back as well Report
August 31, 201511 yr comment_701761 I got a Crabby wallet a few months back when it was on sale for ~$11http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PYIDVLIIt's been pretty decent. Report
August 31, 201511 yr Author comment_701763 I often stick little pieces of paper or other random things in my wallet so I need it to be more standard. So no money clips, rubber bands, or ex machine-era stuff. I do like the machine-era bottle opener though. Edited August 31, 201511 yr by shellylh Report

September 1, 201511 yr comment_701817 Gene started all of this by giving me the Godwin (whale) bottle opener. I have bought many an item and gifted several whales myself since then. Report
September 2, 201511 yr comment_701962 I have a Slimfold original wallet. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/s/ref=is_s_ss_i_0_8?k=slimfold+wallet&sprefix=slimfoldI like that it's extremely thin, and I hardly notice it in my back pocket. Also, the material is waterproof, which is nice. I've only had it a few months, but it seems pretty durable. The only thing I don't like is that the material itself is not very attractive. It's kind of plain and blah. You don't feel warm and fuzzy handling it, like with a good quality leather. But strictly from a utilitarian point of view, it's good. Report
September 2, 201511 yr comment_701965 I use the large bifold wallet from saddleback leather wait nevermind it is enormous and thick. great wallet though. Report
September 3, 201511 yr comment_701985 Yeah, my solution was baggier pants with bigger pockets. It was also suggested to me to get a purse. (I'd also want to carry things like my meds in it.)Which one, Jack, this one? Edited September 3, 201511 yr by Dusty Chalk Report

It's compact, but its heft lets me know it is there. And I believe Gene also gave me a whale opener. The only opener I have that can get through waxed bombers without muss or fuss. Report

He did give me one -- in Monee at that nearby motel as a matter of fact -- and I have paid it forward a few times, including you and L'il Bro, I believe. Love you regardless of brain cell loss. As for the wallet, I have never even considered putting it in my back pocket. I really like wearing it up front because my back/spine feels better and because it is about as safe as possible. Report
