  • Just got a few boards in.  From left to right... GRHV78xxx, GRHV79xxx and to the right is a new experimental digital alternator.  It’s stackable for balanced

  • Look what I just found at my door step...

  • I am moving Kerry's mini GRHV\GRLV GB discussion to its dedicated thread here. I also included JoaMat's mini T2 here to see if we have enough interest for a GB. The table will be updated periodic

I was checking my second order to Mouser (last one) and verifying everything, I discovered that all my LT1021 are 7v instead of 10v (GR78xx, GR79xx and T2)

Should I replace them with 10V one or I can let them ? I will have to change only R2=2.29K to get 15V

I like the 7v version for the GRLV supplies, but it doesn’t matter.  From a noise perspective, I think they’re slightly better.

If you’re talking about the T2 power supplies, I believe they need to be 10V.  You could potentially recalculate all of the set resistors.

Guys, any leftover boards available? Would be interested in 2 sets of PS boards and 1 mini T2:

4 grhv, 2 grlv78xx, 2 grlv79xx, 2 main board, 1 mini t2 please

@starcat

I have boards. Ping me if still interested. Location Sweden.

PM me if you are still looking for boards.

Also, you need a base board to assemble a PSU unless you have or plan to fabricate your own.

Here's some pics of the power supply inside a Canon build...

Hi @Kerry, nice build as always. Mind sharing the p/n for the white clips holding the pot cables to the PCB spacers? Thanks a lot!

They're just Nylon R Type Cable Clamp Fasteners.  I got my last batch from Amazon.  I tend to use 1/8, 3/16 & 1/4" sizes.

Haven't been as active on here lately and I can't believe I missed this GB. Anyway, good work on this everybody

Looks like MMBT3904,215 and MMBT3906,215 from Nexperia are a good replacement for the MMBT3904 and MMBT3906 BJTs from Onsemi.

Lots of the parts like OPA134UA/2K5 or the voltage references LT1021DCS8-10#PBF or LT1021DCS8-7#PBF are available end of 2023. That's just insane and getting worse, like the world has run out of parts!

@Kerry Would it be possible to substitute the OPA134UA/2K5 that's used in the PSU with something else that's easier available? Mouser keeps pushing it out, now scheduled for 2024!

Yes, you can substitute something else in for the OPA134UA.  I did a quick search and found OPA1655DR which is in stock.  You'll need to test it to make sure it functions properly.

Good luck and post back your findings.

PS  I'm running on very little sleep, so double check the operating parameters of the OPA1655 against OPA134.

Digikey shows a VIshay SS14-E3/5AT or a Diodes Inc. B140-13-F as direct replacements.
