I have never heard of High On Fire, but Baroness is kick ass.

High On Fire are fun, almost like a Black Sabbath tribute band doing original material. Cheese factor is kind of high, but you'll have to let me know if that carries over live.

Sony GDM-FW900 24" CRT via ebay. Flat screen, does 1920X1200

I may pickup a second one, once I see how much space it takes up.

I used to have the 21" version of that monitor. They're awesome, but massive.

I've been researching LCDs, but I finally just said forget it. I miss the advantages of a good CRT. I currently have 2 Ikea Jerker tables mashed together in my room, so at least the weight wont be an issue.

I sold my $900 sony 21" monitor for $75 when I left alaska...I didn't want to pay $100 to move it.

Shipping was more $ than the monitor

I just hope it gets here in one piece.

But good LCDs are WAY more expensive than good monitors, even still.

I still use a CRT at home. Yay me.

But good LCDs are WAY more expensive than good monitors, even still.

That was my motivation to go with the CRT. The one thing I do like about modern LCDs is the wide aspect ratio. Most CRTs dont have that, but luckily there were some widescreen models made before they switched to LCD technology, including the Sony I bought. Plus apparently it has a relatively flat screen to boot.
