Homemade hummus with chipotle and lots of garlic!  Why have I got 38 years without making my own hummus?  It's so easy and good.

The other night ate at Atelier Crenn in SF. Fant-fucking-tastic. Recommended for crazy foodie types who don't mind a poem for a menu. I'm not joking.

Joanne's Lamb Curry, Mikey's chickpea curry, more fixin's then strawbs, cream, ice cream etc. Lots of tasty food with great company (Mikey, Claire, and an overworked Al: Hope the Lime Pickle helped)

The curries were great but I LOVE Lime Pickle!  I will be acquiring some soon!

Mac and cheese that probably had 5 slices of bacon and at least a whole dungeness crab in it.  I actually have leftovers, probably 2 meals worth.  And this is me.  And I am not sick or anything (but still ginger).

Fuck!  All food pics tonight make me hungry and sad.  I just had one of each of these:

Luckily there was beer left over from a happy hour that I missed entirely earlier, so I washed these awful things down with Anchor Steam.

Hope you had a Martini!

Dessert, Coffee, Stuffed!

Is that bacon I spy perched on said shank?

So much dim sum.  Pork buns, hum bao, shiu mai, shrimp balls, shrimp on sugar cane, and chicken feet.  Was so full.

coulda saved a little room by skipping the chicken feet

My family hazed Anne by ordering chicken feet on our first dim sum trip when we were dating and getting serious. Also duck feet, pig's feet, jelly fish, and century eggs. She was a trooper and tried everything, and my parents loved her for it. Years later, she discovered that we really don't like the feet, and haven't ordered it since. We just wanted her to try something new ... :)
