I am considering what would be a 5.2.2 Dolby Atmos System which would leverage some existing ambient speakers for the “overhead mids” with a switch in the wall to toggle them.

I'd have to hear it to get the effect, but it sounds interesting. Both subs are the same?

If anybody is seriously considering 15",  I've over inflated expectations.

Are we talking length or circumference?

Could you imagine 15" in circumference?

I sometimes have a hard time talking some into "it", at close to 1/2 of that. 😳

I looked at the specs on the Marantz slim model, very nice but only 50 wpc.....would need fairly efficient speakers methinks, a smaller room, or maybe use a separate multi-channel amp...

Or use active speakers from the pre-outs?

Does anyone have the LG GX model on the included slim wall mount?

I am not sure if my wall isn’t flat or the panel isn’t flat ... but something ain’t flat.

How unflat?  It wouldn't be all that surprising to find a wall 1/8" out of flat in say 4' or so but not more than that.

Well, I wasted more time on this. Here is what I know.

if I put a level across the top of the bracket, the top right I can slide two washers under the straight edge and the bottom right three washers. So I thought to myself, obviously I need to space the bracket out from the wall accordingly. Well, same exact problem. When I snap the TV in, the bottom right left is about 3/8” out from the wall (other corners are flush with the wall) and there is a decided bend in the panel

The shadows from from the overhead lights here might offer a clue:

 

if not here are some attempts to show the problem (this is with the washers spacers installed behind the mounting bracket)
