Speaker Porn

What a lovely setup (and kitties; though I'm a bit surprised the sub-woofer grills are intact).  I had those Tannoy Super-tweeters for a bit when I used a Lowther-based system, very nice units!!

That puke-pink couch could go though 😊

Ah - the good old battleship grey Cambridge Audio livery. It was panned by the reviewers, as were the buttons on the CD player (they described them as reminiscent of poking dead flesh). Very unfair, b

  • I dunno, can i post this here? The leather was just an idea - making some matching wood pulls would be cool - maybe when things die down at M&O of course my speaker cables are too short

Those big Tannoys really need two subwoofers to fill out the bottom end?

There are five cat deterrent spray cans on the system, so I'm guessing they have had issues with those furry fiends.

that subwoofer is thinking “what the hell did I get myself into?”

Given the size and dimensions of the room, it makes sense.

That's it. Move those speaker away from the back wall in that similar sized room, and you don't need all that room treatment. Simple enough.

Does the equipment rack function as a door as well?

ML Aerius. I had a pair of those. The electrostatic panel disconnected itself on both. I contacted ML, who said if I was in the US they could supply new panels cheaply (ish), but because I was in the UK I'd have to go through Absolute Sounds who had a vicious mark up. So I popped the wooden side panels off, fed small pieces of antistatic foam in each hole, and trapped a connection wire under some kapton tape. Soldered the wire into the HV feed. Put the wooden panels back on.

Problem sorted, and totally invisible.

I later sold them on eBay, and made it clear that the panel had been repaired and how. I got a good price; the buyer collected and I demonstrated them working before he took them.

Looks like it (potentially) blocks off the entrance to a dormer.

Those are more like specialty porn. Porn for people with a little different tastes. Love the corner braces, especially that they are almost randomly placed

It might not be up to TICE, Inc.(tm) standards, but it was done by a 21 yer old kid for about $1000:

That's the funny thing, the build looks awesome. That's why I question the corner brackets.
