NC Coast Mini Meet 9/12 Kure Beach NC (just south of wilmington)

I'm now sitting in ILM waiting for the 17:50 to Atlanta. Justin and I went and got nosh (he had waffles hash browns and bacon, I had a burger) then we went to the range that the big group went to and we fired off 5 or 6 hundred rounds.

I think that the guy in the shop thought I was strange though.

I think that I'll be using my travel time to compose "the big post".

I knew Justin was hooked! Did he rent the AR-15? Godspeed on your travels, Doug. And you are strange, btw. :postjack:

I want a biscuit.

You are all bastards.

Or is it "basterds"?

Is this an impression thread? Bah... anyways, I hit reply.

I didn't have my camera with me, but I have to say, the bathrooms at this meet were the BEST of any meet I have been to. They had lids on the back, such a nice upgrade from the last one.

Oh, FWIW, I made it home without dying/wrecking/getting a speeding ticket (unlike some of the reckless of the bunch).

FWIW #2, I feel I'm about 40-50% recovered from my hearing loss this past week.

FWIW #3, Colin said metal detector guy probably wouldn't be able to pick up my titanium wedding ring, you know, just in case the ocean decided it didn't like things that have touched Mexican food.

We were up at 3:30 am to catch our 6:00 am flights home. I got home around 11:15 and in the office by noon. Came home early and ran 3 miles with my wife. Amazingly, I have not passed out. Now listening to Sgt. Pepper's from the mono box.

This was a great weekend. Thanks to Dan for setting it up.

Looks like you all had a kick ass time. Hopefully you have another in two years ;)

we missed you naaman, and for YOU I'll do it again in 2 years.

:ian:

Was someone after your lucky DACs?

I did 3 miles today, too. Almost wept. The chocolate milk helped. Thanks for the advice, counselor.

I did 640 miles today and all I had was Diet Dr. Pepper.

560 miles and just under the daily maximum of energy drinks. ;)

That picture is perfect on so many levels. Hmm, how to make it legible at avatar size...

They're magically resolving!

Awesome pic, Justin. You should hang by the beach more often. :D

Did everyone go home with the glencairns they paid for? There were a couple left at the house monday, so it seems like maybe someone left one behind. I know there were some extras that I brought tho, so it very well coulda been me :)

Today? There were some on the counter, then Doug claimed one or more and then I don't know what happened. Helpful, no?
