March 13, 201016 yr comment_334730 So, Mike are those your Omegas but Aaron's amp? Is yours going to be similar? Looking good whoever owns it, atm. Report

March 14, 201016 yr comment_334958 Does anybody have any experience with the KGSS/O2MkII combination? Report
March 14, 201016 yr comment_334972 KGSS with the Mk1 is awesome so the Mk2 should be great as well. Report
March 14, 201016 yr comment_334974 I keep the 'stats in my harem relatively untainted Yeah, but try as you might, they still sneak out the window at night to do the unspeakable with other 'stats. Report
March 14, 201016 yr comment_334980 Naughty little vixens, they are. But I will forgive them as long as they continue to make sweet love to my ears and respond to my tender embraces. Report
March 14, 201016 yr comment_334981 Yeah, but try as you might, they still sneak out the window at night to do the unspeakable with other 'stats. how do you think the ortho was born? damn dynamic whore... the 'stat didn't stand a chance until it was too late. Report
March 14, 201016 yr comment_334982 I will now forever remember the ortho as the bastard child of a 'stat and a dynamic. Report
March 14, 201016 yr comment_334990 Hm, that's more like the 'stat and the dynamic are Siamese twins, I would think. Report
March 14, 201016 yr comment_334994 Quick q: If there is a small gap between the driver and the metal baffle, would this basically be bass reflex? I'm trying to understand the bass I'm getting out of the L Sig. Report
March 14, 201016 yr comment_335020 Input or output? that's precisely the problem. they're not well-marked and it's easy to get confused. Report

In a way yes but the key to good bass from planars is to employ an infinite baffle (or as close to it as you can with speakers) as backwave cancellation is is the big problem here. Report

I was just wondering if I possibly didn't stick the driver to the baffle completely tightly, causing a bit of rumble in the low bass. I think I was just hearing things. As to the infinite baffle approach, do you think putting some fiberglass behind the drivers like in the Lambda and Lambda Pro would help? Report

Infinite baffle = sealing earpads with no ports. Report
March 15, 201016 yr comment_335203 The point of infinite baffle is that the backwave can never interact with the frontwave. In the speaker world, there are people who use a wall of their house as the baffle, with the speaker tightly sealed to a cutout in said wall. Front of the speaker goes into the listening room, back either outside or into some other area of the house. Report
