In anticipation of what is likely Coppola's newest disaster Megalopolis, listening to a previous disaster.

Yeah that one is funny. There are so many critics, including those who've had no issues fighting against public opinion previously, wanting to love, or at least respect, Megalopolis, but the odds of this being a misunderstood masterpiece (à la CATS - sorry/not sorry) seems so low at this point. Can't wait for the longer director's cut. My favorite, seemingly fair, reviews...

Of course there's no way I'll skip seeing the thing.

Bonus

One From the Heart had a great soundtrack though.

Example:

Second listen through of the new Nightwish album this week. Always impressed with Floor Jansen's singing, but I also was drawn in to the writing of this album a lot. It includes the entire orchestral version of the album as well.

On the trip back home with Skuli Sverrisson "Seria II"

I have heard some of these works, but never the album. It is a great piece of work. Very enjoyable listen from a master. I preferred the 16 bit remaster vs the high bit rate version that I could get on Qobuz.

North Americans "Going Steady"

Beautiful melodies with acoustic guitars

Coming off HSB watching.

Väsen & Hawktail

Example:

I like. I am a Britney Haas fan on the fiddle. But really well recorded. Didn't know Väsen before this.

Oh wait - I did...

Anyway the blending with Hawktail is really good.
