Desktop experience very iffy due to the anvil of iTunes integration but mobile looks pretty good. Sound quality not so great to my ear?

For those of us who watch the WAYLT thread, here is a place to post the albums you notice that are, in general, Head Case Approved Musicks (or d-_-b Musicks). For example, Phil Collins But Seriously... would not go here, even if I like it, because no one else ever listens to it. But this album does belong: ...because a lot of us listen to it, and it shows up in a lot of our last.fm signatures.

Do you guys still find bargains on used music? After spending a while in NYC and Boston it seems most places priced the good stuff at Ebay or higher prices. And the local stores in my area now basically stock crap that has a nice fine line of dust on it. I think I'm going to all the wrong places

My baby gets married within the month and we haven't been able to agree on song for our father/daughter dance. Neither one of us dances particularly well so something easy to move too is required. Suggestions appreciated.

While seeing the new Bond film this weekend, I was seriously impressed with Jack White's guitar tone on the song during the opening credits. Does he have other songs that have seriously delicious guitar tones? I like everything from ridiculously processed (Isley Brothers -- Who's That Lady; Shotgun Messiah's Violent New Breed; Nine Inch Nails; Landmind-era Ministry; etc.) to some nice subtle compression with maybe a little bit of tube distortion (Tommy Bolin's Savannah Woman; Al di Meola's Ritmo de la Noche; Eric Johnson) to some nice dirty spittle-flying guitar tones (ELO's Ma Ma Ma Belle; godhead's Fall Away) to ...uh, I don't know what to call it -- let's just call i…

How does the SQ and overall quality of the DCC Gold series compare to Mobile Fidelity? Does Steve Hoffman oversee the DCC line? I just found a new copy of Jackson Browne's "Late for the Sky" for $100 when the used were going for as much as $200. I don't think I've paid more than $25 for one cd in my life but to inaugurate my new Capitole this might be the CD I would pay such a price if...that sound is really that significant a difference? What's the general comparison between the two premium companies? Between a standard rebook and these gold standards? And as anyone heard or do you have "Late for the Sky?"

So as part of the new car we got a 4 month trial for Sirius XM and I'm wondering what people around here think of the service. Worth the $200 a year? That's a lot of CDs. Favorite stations? Edit: I see the mostly music for $10 a month. That's a bit more palatable.

Sure, they will not be at the top of their game live due to their age, but I am very curious about the album. Could be great, could be bad. As long as Ozzy stays away from the writing and lets Tony and Geezer do their thing, it certainly has a chance. Just got back from seeing Leila Josefowicz solo with the Atlanta Symphony. Second time I've seen her. She is really woth the ticket if you get a chance. The performed Beethovens violin concerto in D major. God sher can make that violin sing and cry. She was using a Del Gesu violin that was made in 1724.( I am guessing KA_CHING in $$ major) As a bonus she is very easy on the eyes too.

It's been a while since I bought tickets for a popular band. Most of the stuff I like I feel lucky if they ever make it to the U.S. to tour, but tickets are easy and cheap to get. I already saw Pearl Jam during the 2000 tour three times, and they are awesome, but my wife never saw them. She's a big fan. For one reason or another, we never made the effort to go see them since 2000. But this time, I ran it by her, and she was excited. Cool, let's go for it.
