Why not just take out a full-page ad in the New York Times announcing that you have a minuscule penis?
  2. A buyer's market is a macro level phenomenon, buying a particular house is a micro level one. Sometimes there is surprisingly little relationship between them. A seller who has not maintained a furnace has likely neglected other things, too. I'd be sure the inspection is thorough.
  3. Got tired of waiting for the RRS L Plate to come in stock so tried to set focus on the Lens Align system with an old Manfrotto head I had in the closet. Sharpness seems to be as good as I can get it now. Of course RRS just got the D750 L Plates in stock so I should have that next week to do some nighttime shots in DC. Just to make Brent jealous.
  4. You're like the CJ of people, you hate everyone I like. I'm trying to figure a way to get a D750 some time in the next year.
  5. Took my daughter out for her first ice skating. She had a good time, but now my back hurts from holding her up most of the time - didn't help that I hadn't skated in over a decade. Apparently, ice skating is not like riding a bike, at least not for me.
  6. Thanks all. Luckily we did have a very thorough inspection done and the inspector found a bunch of stuff (most of it small) totaling out to $10k in his estimate. Though that doesn't include replacement of the heat pump/ac system for the addition which is functioning but a cheap brand and expected to fail soon. We figured that the seller would at least be willing to help with the furnace because the unit is so old and rusted out that the inspector said we needed to put carbon monoxide sensors everywhere. We were wrong. We were prepared to walk but our Realtor decided to take a cut of his fees to help offset the furnace. We will probably replace the heat pump system now too and are budgeting more for that. We are pretty sure that they just want us to walk. We ratified our offer minutes before another offer was going to come in and the other buyers are offering more and are willing to do "as is" so we are going to have to suck it up or walk. We are still getting the house for $65k less than originally listed for and I get significant pleasure knowing that at least we are preventing them from getting more money. Of course the source of all this information is the listing agent and she doesn't seem to be a very upstanding person (our agent is very unimpressed). We ran a bunch of comps and just by square footage and bedrooms we are getting a deal. I guess different less pleasurable version of a good deal is one where both sides are suitably pissed off.

Sat in on my first gig on Saturday night. While I only played keyboard on one song and guitar on two it was a lot of fun. Actually used my JH-13s on stage, mostly to block out everyone else as I get too easily distracted when playing/counting.

I'm using a Gungnir in 4V balanced output too. It's truely a balanced circuit directly from the differential DACs, not an afterthought. With a Gungnir, one could always easily go to SE output at 2V and get a -6dB attenuation. The 50K Alpha pot in my KGST is at about 8:30-9:00 for a realistic volume level. I just bought a 4 gang Alps RK50 from Justin to try out on my next build. I may try some attenuation before it with some Vishay TX2575 resistors to give a more useful range of adjustment.
  9. That should work nicely.
  10. Well, that left a mark. Ready to blow shit up.... I elected not to finish up the heat shrink given the high level of confidence I have in my skizzels... Big shout out to ALL that chimed in to save me from misef' and actually braved sending me stuff. HS

Here's another. As long as the room proportionally supports it the only question is King or Cal King.

I would go with a king myself, mostly because I would sleep solo on the diagonal

Queen is the minimum even though you're not a large person. Full size is not an adult option.
