  1. Took the kids to the British Museum to see the Rosetta Stone, Elgin Marbles and head of Amenhotep. Came home and watched the Simpsons. Culture!
  2. While on the way from Carson City to Virginia City I spotted something that caught my interest So we pulled over to investigate further And were not not disappointed Turns out it was something that's been going on for 44 years https://www.virginiacityhillclimb.com/?page_id=2 So we carried on, and saw it from the other end
  3. Chicken and waffles and gravy. Ridiculously good. Fresh squeezed mimosa not pictured.
  4. The styling inspiration for the new Orpheus:
  5. Had my second guitar lesson, ever. (Yes, I'm going to be mentioning every one until it's normal.) Restrung one of my guitars that sounded muted and muffled -- it just needed new strings is all.
  6. Just getting back from a little Internet disconnect with family. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. A nice night last night at a neighborhood party/get-together, followed up by a nice day today at a couple lakes in NH. Obligatory beer on friend's porch @ Blaisdell Lake, served up with 2 grilled pizza's with fresh ingredients and a nice pre-cooked dough. Prosciutto, cheese and caramelized grilled peaches on one, was that ever delicious! Later, a nice tour boat ride all around Lake Sunapee
  8. Marathon of almost a years worth of The Soup... (no wonder the terrorist hate us) Love this show..... (while drinking wine)
  9. It tasted sweet and like a really bad smell.
  10. see you soon leaving now
  11. Got the email, team is set up. Strong chance I'll be on autodraft, given that it occurs at 3AM here in Istanbul, but I'll do my level best. Football season will entail many late night and early mornings, perhaps it's a good idea to start now.
  12. Let us know when # lessons > # guitars
  13. Hey guys, I'm helping out Jeff while he's keeping the world safe from the Princess of Instagram, or something like that. Let's set the draft for this Tuesday, Sept 1st at 8pm Eastern Time. Let me know if this is a problem for anyone. Tyler, you should have an email (through ESPN.) If you don't, PM me. As far as keepers go, we're doing one (1) keeper per team. I believe we usually do a snake draft, so we'll stick with that format this year. I'm thinking it's going to be 10 teams this year. Start researching, start your mock drafts, prep your auto-picks if you need to, but it's about time. G'luck! **BRENT**
  14. I'll put it in the queue! No, seriously, I've had an arrangement for Free Bird for years in my head (done in the style of Pink Floyd -- specifically, "Time"), so there's no reason I shouldn't start working on it. My teacher gave me the riff from Crazy Train to practice.
  15. Welcome ‌@4tray! welcome to headcase new friend. showers of joy for you sir or ma'am, showers of joy. we are ready to discuss headpone! early in your meditation journey you will no doubt think the moments of oneness and connectedness and joy you feel are the point of the meditation process. however, these are just another thing you can become attached to. William James put it best in his work "The Varieties of Religious Experience", paraphrasing here, but basically the only way you can determine the authenticity of a spiritual experience are by the fruits of said experience. So if you are still a miserable asshole after said "spiritual experience" then really its not much of a spiritual experience is it? Regardless, the point isn't to have these experiences, since so many of them are impermanent (which is really what the Buddha meant when he said "all life is suffering". suffering is probably a poor translation, I think the real idea is that nothing in life is permanent, so you can't all your serenity to be contingent on anything in life, including these moments we call spiritual experience), the question instead you need to ask your is what is the journey? also scroll up a bit for my flat bacon trick!
  16. Wait, did you just call the Panthers an NHL team?
