Thanks for the notes, gents. Didn't even realize Berning was making a Micro-ZOTL 2. I owned the 1 for a while, was pretty darned nice. I even drove some Lowther's in a small room with it. The tech on that was interesting (but above my head); Berning did some neat things to bypass the need for a boatload of tubes in an OTL amp. EDIT: well, fuck....just ordered......2 points

This. Shelly, please think that if all those tiny live beings were so dangerous for our health, we wouldn't have made this far as species. There wouldn't be people alive in most of the planet where sanitary conditions are simply nonexistent.2 points

Took the kids to the British Museum to see the Rosetta Stone, Elgin Marbles and head of Amenhotep. Came home and watched the Simpsons. Culture!2 points

Shelly, I received a gift "parachute" (nylon) wallet I believe from that site and liked it quite a bit. Lasted for far longer than most I've had. Eventually I went smaller with one from http://www.amagpoc.com (there are lots of similar out there). Suspect I'd prefer the former for rear pocket (where thinner matters) and latter for front (seems like s second, smaller phone in the other front pocket).1 point

A nice night last night at a neighborhood party/get-together, followed up by a nice day today at a couple lakes in NH. Obligatory beer on friend's porch @ Blaisdell Lake, served up with 2 grilled pizza's with fresh ingredients and a nice pre-cooked dough. Prosciutto, cheese and caramelized grilled peaches on one, was that ever delicious! Later, a nice tour boat ride all around Lake Sunapee

This was in New Haven. US Open tickets are stupid expensive, and they generally suck as the good seats are sold to corporations leaving actual tennis fans to sit in the second tier. So we tend to skip it. We did go to Montreal a couple of weeks ago where we got to see Nadal play.
