  1. Another update coming, going from v4 to v4.1 and it's a pretty large upgrade. Complete rewrite of how search works, new version of the editor, among many other things. Right now I'm planning to do the upgrade on Wednesday sometime during the day.

  4. It may just be me, but the front end on this Nissan looks bad ass. The car is all business. The shot is from SEMA. HS

  5. I dropped I dropped my Oxycodone dose from 10mg every 6 hours to 5mg every 8 hours and feel a bit better. Brown sugar and maple syrup flavored Malt-o-meal helped too. I missed out on the free sponge bath at the hospital since I went home early, and the wife was like "Nah..." So I washed myself up this AM and had my wife drop me off to get my hair cut and washed while she shopped. Can't wait for a hot shower in 2 weeks when the staples come out.

  7. I did. I placed an order for a LDRxB. Will permit me to set up more than one DAC into the speaker system, and (I think) to take the direct stereo out of the Oppo for playing those discs that have proved difficult to rip. I like the company, their DIY support (good attitude), their 10% new-newsletter-subscribercustomer discount, and the reviews are encouraging. Been looking for a way to add a little flexibility to the system, without an active pre, and without breaking the bank on some of the commercial passives. Thanks @Craig Sawyers for the link.

  8. Thanks to this video And these inexpensive parts I was able to implement this http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/15-7th-generation/42915-diy-power-steering-pump-o-ring-tsb.html And it works as described (No more noise from the steering pump at startup on cold mornings) (No air in system due to loose seal, so no cavitation in pump, I'm guessing) Thanks Internet

  9. That's like asking someone which of his children he loves more? Or in Doug's case, which cat?

  10. Saluting Marilyn, one of our more annoying cows who did not survive this morning's visit from the mobile butcher. Currently googling beef heart recipes.

  11. Yeah didn't even try for the George T Stagg this year (or last).. I have a small pile of early bottles - good enough... I am tired of fighting for whisky - and waiting in beer lines.

  13. Jude likes them. They're the bestest of the bestest at being the bestest. Although... I suppose I could sell my Orpheus system on eBay (are they really going for $25k to $30k? that's insane)... and also sell pretty much all of the rest of my headphones and amps, and finally be able to claim that I'm a "minimalist" with this fancy hydraulic gizmo.

  14. Hey gang, So, I woke up in post-op recovery about 4 hours ago. I'm having much better pain control than the last few leg surgeries. I've got a 1mg/hour morphine drip and can push a button to get an extra 1mg every 10 minutes, but only need it like every 30-60 minutes. The doctor says things went really well, and if I hadn't swapped the old skinny rod in my femur for this fatter one that I'd probably have never had my bone heal. The old rod wasn't very tight inside the bone anymore, and I was wobbling around on the rod, basically re-breakng any bone that would have been healing. i was very scared to have a fifth surgery after the accident, but I'm so happy that I did. I'll likely go home Saturday, but I'm hoping that if my pain is under control and my weight bearing with physical therapy goes well today that I could go home tomorrow (30-40% chance if I push hard).

  15. This is my progress so far. Waiting for the caps. Rest is more or less done. To answer some questions before they are asked: My transformer has 15-0-15 and 2x 18vac windings, because I was undecided which lv psu to use, when i ordered it. As you can see, I have decided which one to use, and connected the 15-0-15 just to prevent the wires from dangling around. I will clean up the transformer wires when I finish it. Any other questions are welcome ;-)
