I'd eat that until the cows came home. Then I'd eat the cows. Looks amazing though. Is there braised pig cheeks or something under the egg? Veal tartare and lamb kebab for me tonight, with a negroni to start and some very tasty local grapes to round out the food groups. Really freaking good.2 points

There is some amazing scenery around Portland. Crater Lake is next on my list of things to see down that way. I went swimming in this (or rather, a few miles south, this being the view from the office).2 points

If Dusty already posted this, sorry. If not, check it out Peter. A cool free app from Roli called Noise. Similar but simpler than Geo Shred (which is similar to the Linnstrument). It does cost to add a few more libraries but it's cool to mess with as is.2 points

The meet was superb and would have not happened to be this good unless the ACOA members are on board. Many thanks to John Morrison and the team for organizing this superb event. I hope we can do this annually and even more people will attend. We have more than 10 vendors and plenty of set up to listen to. There were 15 or so raffle prize items and Brent walked away with his new office rig, the Matrix HPA-2C. Tyll was his very cool self, visiting and talking to everyone at the meet. His keynote speech was very informative and entertaining. Will the new line of Beats with lighting connector really spell the end to analog headphones? Tyll also spent a few minute listening my KGSSHV Carbon and SR009...and walked away very impressed. The highlight of the meet for me was meeting Doug in person and listened to his new line of amplifiers. His Copenhagen amplifier both tube & SS were noting short of spectacular. It was so very musical with a performance really worth remembering. I'm afraid my bank account will soon take a serious hit because of it. The DSHA-2 was also there and should be his biggest seller once it is officially released. I'm looking forward to an in-home audition of these amps soon. Thanks again Doug...you and your setup were the highlight of the meet for me. I also had an equally wonderful time hanging out with Justin and Brent during and after the meet. We had a great meal at a local Brazilian Steak House and I recommended some wild spots for Justin and Brent to check out afterward. Justin sure was impressed with the ATL's local hotties and may consider to move his factory here. C'mon Justin...I need a new job! It goes without saying that I had a great time with Justin's new ride. That pretty red sport car was just damn nice to ride in. Thanks for allowing me and Matt to take it for a spin. Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I had a heavy loads and the Canon S100 is starting to fail me. Should have brought a better camera.2 points

So sad that a historic 73 win season will end like this. Didn't even think about it but you're probably right, Steph may not be at 100%, possibly due to playing those huge minutes his first game back from the injury. Well, at least we know KD isn't leaving OKC/Westbrook anytime soon.1 point

Yeah, its either the fact that Curry's injured or that they are choking on a historical level (probably both). The most wins in a season in NBA history and to wash out this easy is pretty epic. I'm very impressed with OKC either way. The warriors are done. There's no way they win 3 against OKC. Go Sharks!1 point

I have stereo balanced Uber running but need to get it to run cooler. the most Bias I have tried is 200mv across the emitter resistors and I get to 65c in 30 min.. things to do: increase airflow, may try lower voltage transformers as I have 50v at the caps and could do with 44v Do plan on redoing this when happy, take it apart and re wire, adjust things. Clean it up. Been reading the KSA50/100 clone thread at the other place to gain ideas. with what I've done it might end up with 25wpc class A and the rest AB which is still a Monster I would just bring the GRLV rails up closer but don't know how. I think it would be better if the output regulator pass transistors did not have to bleed off 10v each. The outputs are very stable at under 1mv, there is no turn on / off thumps and it does sound good.1 point

Great job putting everything together in such a tight space. Looking forward to seeing the finished amp.1 point

Working on casing the power supply now. The first two images are renders from Fusion 360 (love this program for CAD/CAM)... I got the transformers from Richard at SumR. I added a winding to the LV transformer for the +5V I use for the control circuit/relay as well as the Arduino and digital relay. I also removed a winding on one of the HV transformers since it's not used and adjusted some voltages. Just finished testing them in the new setup and so far so good. I've still got to test everything under load before reconnecting to the amp. The face plate is a temporary while I mill the final one.1 point

I'd also take the PS board out of the chassis for testing purposes. Eliminates the chassis as the source of the issue and if something does go arcy-sparky or if you are sending voltage into the chassis or something weird it'd be nice to not inadvertently cook the amp boards. Make sure you keep a fuse in the loop for all of the testing.1 point

Shouldn't this be in the listening thread? Having someone read to you doesn't count as reading.1 point
