  1. Falling into thorn bushes like you taught him probably affected his time.

  3. Xavier finishing his first ever Time Trial. He came in last in the junior division, but he was the only kid in Chattanooga to even compete. 7 kids in his age group (9-12) and the other 6 were split evenly between two teams which came from at least 2 hours away, and almost every kid had Zipp 303, 404, or 808s... but one had some deeper-than-808 Reynolds wheels. We went out on a ride with a septuagenarian friend of mine about 2 hours after this pic was taken, and we got in an hour ride. When we were packing up after that ride, he told me "I forgot how much I love riding!" <3 **BRENT**

  4. if you sds xlr breaks down you ship it to me. With a bottle of scotch. Dead output caps are a problem, but rare, usually the power supply does evil things. Can't imagine anyone else stupid enough to touch it.

  5. Wow for a couple of pages here I thought I was back at HF... nice to see Wayne considering taking one for the team!! Given my memory of the Focal Be rooms at HiFi events I am considering selling most of my underused gear to get a pair in November or so or maybe just plug my JH13s into my iPhone and have a beer.

  6. Took Debbie to see the female comedy duo of Garfunkel & Oates. So funny. The final song was about god's loophole for young Christian girls - anal. Gotta love a song with a chorus of "fuck me in the ass cuz I love Jesus." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Not even close. It's very specific to taste -- you either like art deco or you don't -- but remains, objectively, a well-executed watch with a great pedigree.

  15. Yep, wrangling ratio is currently 60/40 king snake to california rattler with a few random gopher and viper looking ones. Needles to say I no longer walk barefoot in my yard and I am always watching where I walk.

  16. Snake Wrangler would know better but it seems more likely to be the 3,142nd king snake he has removed from his yard.

  20. These have me interested. I've more or less stopped buying headphones, and don't really use the ones I have often enough. My ears are approaching 54 years old, so I don't know about the wisdom of another $4k pair of headphones? That said, I was happy when I bit on the 009, and felt they were somewhat game changing. Maybe these have that upside as well, where they're not just another pair of headphones lying around but something special and worth listening to.

  22. RIP Gene. A simple memory, but when I was 8 or 9 my sister and I put on Willy Wonka while helping my dad unload Christmas decorations from the shed. It was pretty early to do so, before Thanksgiving even, but still cold and dreary outside. So every time I brought a load into the house, I sat down for 5 minutes to check in on the movie... and I remember feeling so utterly comfortable, warm, and safe. And I think about that every time I've seen that movie since. So thanks to Gene for playing a part in that. Also Blazing Saddles is the funniest film I have ever seen. Another favorite in my family.
