  3. If the words sound queer and funny to your ear, a little bit jumbled and jivey Sing "Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy!" Santa sure took care of me this year! One of the craziest things about re-watching the old seasons on the cusp of 2020 is that back in 1990 no one had cell phones and almost no one in the show uses a computer. How quickly things change. We are getting old!

  4. As everyone knows, I have been using "fat boy" 6CA7 (Electro-Harmonix) since I set up the GG and I also used them in my Megatron for a while and I had no problems. In fact, I have several replacement quads. I haven't used them in my BH but I agree with you Michael that I think these fat ass girls ? "sound" better than the EL34. * From what I've read, the Electro Harmonix 6CA7s are true beam tetrode.

  8. We are certainly getting old and congrats on the discs, but to be fair, most TV and movie characters still don't use the internet. Writers haven't found their footing in the world of instantaneous knowledge. ?

  9. Yeah, that’s what I heard. Are you sure they practiced? Or did they master the fine art of appearing to practice, as many children do? ?

  10. Gotcha....yeah, I had read that the father's mother had some predictions that came true about her son's life, and one of them was that her grandkids would sing/be in a band. So the father forced them to practice constantly & play, and was quite restrictive in allowing them to do much else for much of their time.

  16. So here I was modding a SRM-006tS to a CCS and noticed this: That is the R+ output and notice the 3 lines coming off it, one going to the feedback, one going to the output resistor and one... going to the other side of the output resistor... One has to wonder just how many of these they have shipped like this? In other news, it was fun converting an original T1 and and this one at the same time. 30 years apart and almost exactly the same...

  17. We had to add Karen's moms phone to our plan, so we checked out all of the deals and decided to brave going to the local Verizon store Monday. A couple of hours later we had her mom added to our plan and we both had new iPhone XS Maxs (a nice upgrade from our 7+). Total cost was a little over $100 and the monthly payment will actually be a few dollars cheaper. Overall a good investment for a couple of hours. Today we went to BestBuy and each picked up a pair of AirPod Pros. I think I am going to like them.
