A small step towards a balanced Raal UberAmp setup. Completed a balanced smd (mostly) driver board today. Size 99mm x 35mm (3.9in x 1.4in). Two through hole unbalanced driver boards for comparison.

Plus subpar build quality. Those Leben were quite popular in Spain for a while, there were tons of posts by fanboys, so an acquaintance had the chance to open and check one. Not worth the price of admission, way less if you want it to feed headphones.1 point

Red Sparrow by Jason Matthews The Jennifer Lawrence movie was based on this book (haven't seen it). I'm halfway through and completely engrossed. Great for fans of Le Carré, Fleming, etc. More spycraft and character-building, less Hollywood prurience.1 point

I've had good results using the old subwoofer/listening spot trick. Put your sub at your normal listening spot, put on some music with lots of info below 100hz and move around the room listening for the most balanced bass. Where it sounds best is a good place to place the sub.1 point

Got it almost built and right at the end I realized the fucking Canadians forgot two pieces that are supposed to be mounted to the fence to where the clamps are supposed to mount so now back to waiting.

I actually slogged through all of the sequels and it was rough. I got on such a roll that I read his son's cheesy prequels and such. In my defense, commuting on the streetcar was a painful slog at the time and I fully associate the sound of the MUNI announcement chime with Dune and the Guild.0 points
